disappointed.
have eagerly waited to visit zitos. i finally made time to go n was very disappointed. besides having to find a parking spot (40 minutes). i entered was greeted by nice fella. i ordered a #9 hero sandwich , and also a order of mini rice ballsn a san pell orange. bill was 19.00 smackers. for lunch. after 12 min my order came n what a bitter surprise. my hero bread was soft mushie w very little substance inside miniscule slices of ital cols cuts. 1 slice of provolone. rice balls were not w/ peas n meat. but were ricotta. they were ok. however this place is way overrated. nice place but strictly to make money.

Go there. Do not order delivery.
The food is amazing. The selection is great. The meatball and eggplant parms, the potato and egg and the meatless are all recommended. My major issue is with the delivery. As I write this I've not waited 90 minutes for my 2 sandwiches. It's ridiculous. Don't order delivery from here. They do not have it together. Go there, enjoy the great atmosphere and meet the cool staff that just doesn't have the delivery piece figured out.

Just What the Neighborhood Needs!
I've looked to Menupages for a Park Slope restaurant with Italian subs for delivery for years to no avail. The opening of Zito's has been a God-send. Fresh, fabulous ingredients. Generous portions, and wonderful service. I haven't actually eaten-in, but I've walked by and it looks clean and neat and simple, perfect for a quick casual lunch or dinner. I've had the meatball sub and the "create your own" salami, provolone and hot peppers. Both sandwiches were extremely flavorful, and I couldn't help eating the entire thing. The tomato sauce was great, thick and sweet, but not too sugary. The cold cuts are fresh and flavorful, with generous portions. The bread is crunchy on the outside but doesn't scrape the top of your mouth. Some might be tempted to complain about the price, but you're paying for quality and it's worth every cent!

Amazing
This place is awesome. Thank God for Zitos. It is the best addition to the neighborhood in years. Food is phenomenal, beer selection is terrific (Six Point!), and the space is so inviting. Love the outdoor area.
