They tried
Good effort by the host and some of the staff, but this place has a way to go. Calamari overly-battered, "pizza" was like matzah, pasta was served cold, filet was dry (why is that on the menu?) desserts were boring and white wine suggested by waiter was undrinkable.

Not Good
This restaurant is not good. The food is bland and uninteresting, the service is slow and failing at its attempt to be old-world, and the totally unfitting soundtrack of 90's soft contemporary/techno/Black Eyed Peas kills it. And it is ridiculously overpriced. Expect it to close soon.

A must try!
This place is really a must try and I highly recommend for anyone. Besides the great location, the food is authentic Italian and the service and space is truly amazing! If you need a private room for a party as well - this is one of the nicest I have seen in NYC!! I will definitely be back for sure!!

Well, I hate to do it...but really not impressed. For the prices 1) the food is ok 2) the service left a lot to be desired. While I understand it is a new space and certain growing pains exist. Don't be that big if you can't handle it and PLEASE don't charge those prices. More than a few times we were left without proper utensils and more importantly drinks. Even if mistakes happen (which they do and of course I forgive) but we are a party of ten, all live in NYC - comp us something! throw a little bone for smart business. Not one of us will return to the location. Place needs to get a grip - it may do ok because of great location. Sorry....this is NY, plenty of other places to go

Excellent Food and Service
Really great experience. Wonderful service and food. The tuna tartar was the best I've ever had. Absolutely going back.

Great Find, Excellent Homemade Pasta, Perfect for Groups
Every since I got back from Italia a few months ago, I'm always in search of great homemade pasta and Zio doesn't disappoint. A great place for groups and it's location in Flatiron is a perfect for a Friday night.
