Checked all, and found fave Moroccan!
Had a wonderful tagine there last night with couscous on the side. Deeply flavorful but not overpowering. Just right. For the E Village, the atmosphere was excellent, with most of the tables being upstairs, a few tables in the bar area, and a few towards the sidewalk. Service was very friendly in a genuine way by two Moroccan women and a sweet American server who was great in recommending the best suggestions for my specific desires.. Place was clean, and had a nice vibe. Highly recommend!

Good Choice for a First Timer!
I've always wanted to try Moroccan cuisine and I was not disappointed. The restaurant was small but cozy and romantic. I really enjoyed the Spicy Prawns. Most of the heat came from the dipping sauce - it was HOT but flavorful. The Tagine Lamb Barkout was great! I loved the apricots and prunes - nice contrast of sweet and savory. I wanted to pick up that shank and suck the meat off the bone - it was that good! My boyfriend loved the red snapper. No such thing as a doggy bag for us that night! The staff was attentive and courteous and the service was prompt. I will definitely be back for more. Thank you Zerza!

Nice dinner experience
My wife and I visited Zerza last week after we heard about it from a friend of ours. It was such a pleasant experience Everything from the food to the music to the service was top notch. We will be coming back for more.

Excellent
We went to "Zerza" on Saturday I must say it was great experience. The Service was sublime and the food excellent. The best was the ambiance. I would highly recomend this restaurant.

Thought it would be good but....
it was actually not a good experience. On a Monday night we waited 1.5 hours for our dinner only to be told it was our fault that it took so long since we ordered appetizers first, then entrees. Apparently, you should order backwards at Zerza. The ambiance is nice, but the wait staff is slow, and kept coming over whenever we didn't want them and not showing up when we did want them. I would not go again. The tagine's were mediocre as well.

Ice cream haven
It's great to hear that Zerza is alive and doing well. I hosted a b-day bash here during their 1st month and was pleasantly pleased with the results. The owner was very gracious and even gave me a bottle of Moroccan wine as a b-day present on my way home. We were a group of 40 people and the bar /lounge area was big enough to intimately bind our group together. The belly dancer they have was one of the best in town. My guest really enjoyed her show. Their homemade ice cream (rose water and fig) are delish. I sometimes just drop by --just for the ice cream!

What a gem!
I LOVE this place! Had been wanting to go here for months and finally went for dinner with some of my girlfriends. Fantastic! We got an eggplant appetizer and these amazing little chicken samosa type things sprinkled with sugar - sounds weird but completely delicious. For my meal I had the lamb tagine with prunes and apricots. Absolutely delicious! We couldn't make it to dessert we were so stuffed. Cannot wait to go back here.
