    Disappointment

Dined here last night(V-Day), and it started out well. our table was ready promptly, and the space is intimate and dim. apps were good (meze plate and spicy prawns). although i first recieved the wrong app, mine was brought to the table quickly after getting the waitress' attention. then the entrees, my girlfriend enjoyed her chicken pie, and i ordered the red snapper. sometimes when you order fish out, you have to be on alert for some small bones, right? how about a pin bone in every other bite? plus, the scales were not removed properly. dessert, also was not molten flourless chocolate cake, but crusted pudding. not cooked through. although the service was well meaning, and the entertainment was enjoyable (belly dancing and guitar), i dont think i would return for dinner. maybe a late night cocktail & snack.

    Great find

A friend of mine told me about Zerza so I checked it out last monday. I was looking for a place to celebrate my husband's birthday. I went last Tuesday and sampled the restaurant. I was impressed buy everything. The food was very tasty and the service was attentive. I also loved the vibe this place has. After I spoke with the owner / Manager I was decided to book the birthday party at Zerza. We went on saturday a party of 22! We had the three course prix fix dinner . Everyone lov d the place all our guests were happy with the food and the place in general. I highly recommend Zerza for any occasion.

    Morocco, here I come!

Really cute place ... very cosy & well decorated ... great place for couples. The spicy prawns as appetizers were some of the best I've ever had! Bursting with flavor! The chicken bastilla was addictive! Craving it now! The lamb tagine with apricots & almonds was yummy too - albeit a wee bit saltier than I would have liked & could have used bread to soak up the delicious juices instead of couscous. The fig ice-cream was a great way to end the meal ... will definitely go there again - this time with friends! Service was good, and the food was served in good time - no delays. Ask abt the live entertainment though - because we went on a Sat nite, but still did not see any.

    Excellent friendly Atmosphere

This is truly one of the nicest and trendiest places in NYC. The service is just a good as it can get, everyone is friendly and the food is excellent and authentic. Don?t forget that they have a wide international selection of some of the best RED WINE!

    Saganaki

We were visiting NYC last week from the Boston area and had a wonderful dinner at Zerza. The food and service were excellent. The saganaki was the best I ever tasted!

    Excellent food, Great atmosphere

My husband and I came here for our anniversary last night. We were warmly greeted by the host who looked up our reservation then immediatly seated us in one of the tables upstairs. The waitress was pleasant and professioanl. She knew a lot about the menu and made some great suggestions. I had the spinach bourekas and the chicken tagine with preserved lemon. Both were excellent. The chicken tagin had great flavors and texture. My Husband was very happy with the spicy prawns appetizer, and for he loved the lamb stew with aprictos and almonds. The atmospheere was great, nice music and a lot of candle light. Overall a nice ejoyable dinner experience and I highly remcommend this restaurant.

    Not so good

Expensive and food was average. Infact the food had a very indian taste to it (I'm an indian). I was left wondering if I was eating Indian or Moroccan food! The service was not good and the atmosphere was passable. Overall we weren't too happy with the whole experience.
