Heed the warnings about the service. It's really really terrible. Server made no eye contact, rushed us, was oblivious to our requests and order, and kept bumping my chair. The food was different too. This Zen Palate is a disgraceful impostor.

Sesame medallions remind me exactly of the chinese version of beef and broccoli. It's amazing!

was so happy to see them back in the neighborhood, having been a customer of the Union Sq. location since it opened. My old standby dish was on the new menu, but it didn't taste quite as good. The service wasn't great, nor was it pleasant. I was hoping I could renew my relationship with Zen Palate in its new location, but too much has changed, I guess.

Ok, so I have gotten delivery from them a couple of times, but they don't seem to get the delivery orders right. Anything that you request on the side just gets removed altogether from the order - this has happened a few times. I like the food, but find it aggravating to get the wrong stuff!

The service is not good...and no it is not slow. It is a way too 'prompt'. We had a look at the menu for literally 30 seconds and the server asked what we would like. I let it go the first time. But this kept happening repeatedly. He even came twice to pick our plates while we were eating! It's not that we were sitting there forever. The ambience and food were decent. But I am not sure I want to go back.

i love this place. im so happy they re-opened. theyre prompt on delivery, and the decor in the new place is nice. very tasty for vegetarians and non-vegs alike!

We were seated and I told the host the room was beautiful. He did not acknowledge my compliment. The waitress was TOTALLY clueless about the menu. I have a wheat/gluten intolerance and 3X she told me the dishes I were inquiring about did not have wheat. Luckily, i got the vibe that she had no idea, so I asked to ask the chef and she came back each time and said the dishes had wheat. Same thing happened with the dessert. I wanted the tofu cheesecake and asked if it had wheat and she said-No,no wheat-it's tofu and cheesecake. Again, I had her ask the chef- and yes, the crust was wheat.
