Overpriced and no customer service
The burger was good, but for $17? The menu on delivery.com said it came with a pickle and coleslaw. We decided to splurge and try the place, even with the ridiculous prices, since the reviews were good. When I called to complain that we didn't get our sides with our burgers, they said the menu online was out of date and they don't have coleslaw, but could send the pickles. They were COMPLETELY unapologetic, even made me feel like it was my fault for ordering from an outdated menu. I pointed out that I probably wouldn't have been willing to pay $17 for a burger if I knew it didn't come with any sides and they just offered to send the pickles to me... what a joke! After waiting 50 minutes for the order in the first place, sending pickles was just insulting. There are better burgers in this neighborhood for cheaper. Zaitzeff: Ridiculous prices for this kind of food and this neighborhood, and staff who somehow haven't noticed! Not worth it.

brunch
Got an omlette, gf got egg sandwhich on this interesting muffin. Both were delicious. We also both had bloody marys which were spicy the way i like 'em. Id recommend this place for brunch.. the doors were open the service was good... music wasnt so bad either. They have a tv hanging from the wall, so fellas, while enjoying food with your lady you can keep one eye on the game and one eye on your lady. Next stop, a big burger from this joint

a tasty treat
I thought this place was pretty good - saw it in a movie played at the tribecca film festival so thought id try it out. The atmosphere was great- a country mix with candles and a cool laid back playlist to set the mood. We all got burgers and fries- which were delicious! Warning one order of fries can be split between 2 maybe even 3 people! Everything was really good - the burger was tasty and the fries were hot and crispy just the way i like them. The service was friendly but the food did take a little while to come out but i guess that is because they start cooking after you order. It was worth the wait. I'll be going back again soon.

lucky me
Zaitzeff hamburgers share first place in my personal ranking of hamburger places. Actually, there's no second or third place! Went here for the 1st time with my son on Friday around 12:30am, the place was empty...lucky for me I had time to sit and talk with the ower Zack who was great to talk to. I don't eat fast food. I want the Real Thing - Real Meat, with no junk added; Real Buns, not those squashed-down slabs of dough; Real Fries, made from Real Potatoes with no coatings to make them look nice and brown when they're still raw and mealy inside... Zaitzeff has a very limited menu: hamburgers, cheeseburgers, Double-Doubles , fries, and drinks. That's it. They don't start cooking until you order, so they definitely stretch the definition of "fast" food - it takes about 15 minutes to get your order, while you sit in this great looking space and salivate. This is the kind of hamburger you dream about - fresh, plump, and dressed very simply with the usual condiments. The fries are cut thin and very good. The service was great. We will be back real soon keep up the great work Zack *) I won't stop. They're that good.

Best burger I've ever had
This place has the best food and no one knows about this little gem. I come here at least once a month with my husband. Besides amazing sweet potato fries and extremely fresh meat used for the burgers, I think what sets them apart is the portuguese muffin used for the bun. If you are searching for the best burger in New York, I recommend you try this place.

Delicious if pricey
I love the burgers here, the mixed fries are delicious, and the mixed green salad with avocado is one of a kind. The atmosphere is also very pleasant. I think the prices are too high for the fare, though.
