    Overpriced, average burgers

I ordered my food for pickup. They got my order wrong but gave me free sodas to compensate. Staff were very friendly, so 5 stars for service. I had a kobe bacon cheeseburger. They didn't ask me how I wanted it cooked, and i received a well-done burger that tasted like paper towels. Burgers should be at least slightly pink inside, I like mine medium rare. The bacon was undercooked and rubbery. They also don't offer american cheese, only cheddar. I would let this slide as a decent (average) burger joint, except the quality of food cannot possibly match the prices. Total for a burger and fries: $19. Fries are extra! A slice of cheese is extra! A bacon cheeseburger is a classic, I'm shocked they don't offer one.

    Expensive for What you Get

Chicken Caesar salad was $18. Fries are $5. Expensive! It was good but not great but certainly not worth the cost.

    Watch out vegetarians

I can't believe what a horrible experience I had. I was so excited that a well know burger place would cater to vegetarians only to leave with a turkey burger instead of the veggie one that I ordered. I called to inquire and the waitress said that's what she thought I ordered. As a life long vegetarian, I certainly did not order a turkey burger and am very upset after having a few bites and realizing. I will never be back.

    great food

One of the best burgers in town for me. Never had a bad experience in the years we have ordered from the location on AveB.

    Mediocre at best

I am a guy who loves burgers and am always looking to try a new place in the hopes I will find Burger Nirvana. Zaitzeff is definitely not that place. The burgers are way overpriced and overhyped for what you get, and you have to pay extra for fries that I can only describe as pathetic. As for the burger itself, it's dinky, bland, and on the dry side. The kicker is that it's served on an english muffin, not a real bun. I guess they are trying to make the burger look bigger by comparison. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. NYC is full of diners that serve a great burger WITH fries for much less dough.

Not much for you money. The burger is good, but way too expensive for the size and the level of service. The people that run the place are nice but the one in Fin Dist is small and noisy. All in All I would not really see the point of going again unless in a bind, and I live just down the street.

    Don't bother!

I don't understand what all the fuss is about, and how this place has the nerve to charge $8.75 just for the basic burger, (fries are extra.) The burger is just okay and it's fried! For $8.75 that burger should be flame-broiled to absolute perfection. The fries were just okay. We ordered a mix of regular and sweet potato fries that were bland and soggy. The service and atmosphere are both pleasant enough, but not enough to make me fork over $8.75 for a burger I could easily duplicate at home.
