Great neighborhood place
Why would you knock a local neighborhood restaurant trying to survive in a difficult economy. The food is very good, fresh and flavorful, and in line with the price. If you want 5 star food go someplace else! And believe me you will pay more. I know food I am Italian and this is good food.

Overpriced, over-hyped, not worth it
To a Neapolitan immigrant, a pizza like the one served in the old hometown is priceless. I went to Zaza' with a lot of faith and high hope to find a good Neapolitan pie. It was encouraging to know that this restaurant imported an oven from Napoli and named its pizzas after the best old-world pizzerias in the same city. What a disappointment! Yes, the ingredients were fresh and likely authentic, but the pizzas were still a disappointment. Undercooked at the bottom but burned on the top. Forget about the charry "cornicione", the one I got was totally burned. Where they did not fall short was the price, which came as high as stated in the menus and possibly higher than NYC Keste', Motorino and the like. A shame considering that a true Neapolitan pizza is not only tasty but costs 4 Euros in Naples IT, and even in the expensive Scarsdale should not have a $20 tag. I would love to find an authentic Neapolitan pizza in Westchester but I will have to wait longer. Trust me, stay away from this place and spend your money elsewhere.

Higher prices and smaller portions
Portions very skimpy, especially the pasta and please skip the Vegetable burger as you are waisting your money.

Nice local place
Great local place. Food is always well prepared. Delivery is always quick when you want to stay in for the night. Reasonably priced. Plenty of restaurants in the area open and seem to close just as quickly. Za za's is solid so it stands the test of time.

We love this place!
My boyfriend and I discovered this place a few months ago and we absolutely love it! To start, the service is amazing. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted in a way that makes you feel so welcomed. The staff is friendly and they are extremely accommodating. The ambiance is so chill and relaxing. There is no one rushing you to get through your meal and you can actually just sit and enjoy a nice leisurely meal. Most importantly, the food is AMAZING. Everything we have ordered has been so delicious. Our favorites are the Osso Buco special and the Penne Al Sugo Toscano. I just had the Penne last weekend and I can't wait to go back and order it again. We highly recommend this place if you are interested in finding a gem in NYC.

Not recommended
The service is impeccable. I only suggest you go there for before or after dinner drinks in their garden. Do not eat their food. My boyfriend and I went there for dinner. He ordered the filet mignon that was really ground chuck. I ordered the Halibut and sauteed spinach....what I really got was fish that they got from the freezer as well as my broccoli they got from the Bird's Eye bag. I could have gone to Gristedes and bought a frozen TV dinner that would have saved me $30 per plate....

Best food we ate in New York
This restaurant was a little out of the way from where we where staying but worth the taxi fare Loved the outdoor garden Ordered great starter platter as recommended Entrees super Great wine Good service A pity we did not have time to return for a second dinner to sample some more A cut above the rest and the price was good for the quality of food
