Some of the best Indian I've had

We're from Vancouver, British Columbia, where there are dozens of Indian restaurants. The food at Yuva is better than almost all of them, and certainly better than any at the same price. The papadam and 9 dip starter gives you tasty options that range from mild to very spicy -- it's brought to your table soon after you arrive. Both times we've eaten there we were brought small desserts -- on the house-- that were delicate and scrumptious. Dishes are delicately seasoned, and you have the option of mild to very hot. The atmosphere is stylish, subdued, and intimate. The maitre d' and the wait staff are professional, helpful, and friendly.

    Extraordinary Indian Worth a Journey

Yuva is my new favorite Indian restaurant, worth travelling uptown for. What a lovely meal! The food and atmosphere are upscale though the prices are not. Service was very attentive. They started by bringing a complimentary platter of 9 homemade dipping sauces ranging from sweet and mild to hot and fiery with papadums to dip. We had a lentil patty appetizer and a crab appetizer, both excellent. Then we shared a seafood biryani that came in a casserole with a pastry crust, leaving the rice inside moist and flavorful, as well as a saag paneer that was a cut above the usual presentation of this dish. Portions were generous; two of us had trouble finishing these dishes. We finished with a complimentary dessert of gulab jamun and kheer.

    Little irritatiing & embarassing!

Food is fabulous and excellent service. waitstaffs were very alert and friendly. If you want to taste the authentic indian foods, yuva is the great place to be at. But, I was irritated and embarassed, when staff came outside to take the customer forcefully in the restaurant. I think it seems little unprofessional and unethical. But overall I felt great dining atmosphere inside the restaurant.

    Unhappy 14

The unhappy 14 were un-expectantly surprised by the response of the management to our concerns. They went above and beyond by sending us a delicious boxed lunch to our place of business. We appreciate it and will be back.
