I ordered for the first time today their Chicken Fried Rice and Rice Soup and I have to say that it is pretty amazing! So happy that there is a good Thai place near my house!

Naming your restaurant Yummy Thai Home Cooking may seem pretentious and overconfident, but when the atmosphere is mellow; the service is on point; and the food is delicious, then it isn’t conceit: It’s being accurate! Located in Inwood, the northern most neighborhood of Manhattan, Yummy Thai Home Cooking opened its doors 3 years ago and has become very popular with the neighbors. The restaurant is moderately sized with beautiful lacquered wood tables, and a chic looking bar that seats 5 people. With beautiful red paneled mirrors with lit tea lights underneath and dim lighting, Yummy Thai Home Cooking is perfect for a first date or romantic rendezvous.

I love the Drunken Man tofu noodles... they don't leave the tofu soft, (my preference) it's nice & firm and it is flavorlicious!! It is good every time. Sometimes a bit oily, but always a go-to for me. The staff is friendly and the FINALLY got a liquor license, so I'll be dining in more than carry-out.

The ambiance of the restaurant is great, but their food is really consistent. I usually order delivery online and it's always what I expect it to be. The servers are super friendly and their bus boys are quick and efficient. Love this place.

I love this place. But maybe because I ordered the beef pad thai luncheon special last minute, not certain. I have had this dish many places. Its very delicious and tasty. Hard to mess it up. This time it tasted extremely sweet. I'm going to give them a pass for now, only because I've eaten here several times and its be yummy. I guess I'll stick to going to the restaurant instead of delivery.

We were initially so excited to welcome a new ethnic restaurant to the neighborhood but were soon disappointed to find out many of our favorite items (including *all* of the curries and the pad thai as well as other noodle dishes) are made with fish sauce. We were told the sauces are pre-prepared by the chef and cannot be modified. The dishes we've had, including the Thai fried rice and the pad see ew, have been quite good. However, if the restaurant has tofu, you would think they would cater to vegetarians. For a much better Thai experience (including the ability to modify dishes to fit vegan and vegetarian diets), Bombay Heights is well worth it in Washington Heights. Funny that they are both owned by the same people....
