    Not recommended

We've been frequently Yummy House since it opened over a decade ago. While most of their food was decidedly Americanized Chinese, their kitchen was helmed by a well-known chef from Hong Kong. This meant that some items were amazing and authentic in the Cantonese tradition. We walked over to their location at 3rd Ave. last weekend only to find it closed up with a "We have moved" sign. Apparently the owner has sold the business to some rundown dumpling house on 2nd Ave. Same menu, different location, and different kitchen and wait staff. The food was absolutely horrible. I asked for extra scallions in my hot and sour soup and the waitress brusquely told me that the kitchen did not have scallions. What?! I asked her how a Chinese restaurant can operate without scallions, but she only became even more intolerable. And to top it off, they don't like turning the AC on during a 95 degree night. Between the rude service and poor renditions of classic Yummy House items, I will not be going back ever again. Now I'll have to find a new go-to Chinese restaurant.

    not the same yummy house

Crab rangoon and mongolian beef were not good. Not sure if this place has undergone new management, but the previous dishes were very good.

    Steer clear of this place

Ordered takeout last night, the shrimp was soggy, the scallops tasted like fish. And we never got a receipt but we figured out they overcharged us on delivery. We had to throw it away and go someplace else. Do not eat here!

    (UN) Yummy House

If you want your order screwed up, this is the restaurant to order from....Two of my last three delivery orders have arrived with the incorrect dishes...these were not large orders (2 people) and they managed to send the wrong items....I will never order from Yummy House again.....

Boy, will I miss this place!

Some of the best Chinese food I've ever had. The salt and pepper tofu was recommended to me, and I tried it to be polite. It was OUTSTANDING! Not like anything I've ever had. The Honey Walnut Shrimp and Scallops was my favorite thing we ordered that night. The house fried rice is excellent, too. I'll be back as often as I can before we have to transfer to Virginia. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Chinese food.

    Great choice

Food was good, the delivery was quick, and the bill was low.
