Yum Yum Bangkok

Was disappointed with my takeout chicken & basil sauce. It was very dry, and the chicken didn't taste fresh at all. They were busy, so maybe the chef was having an off night. That doesn't excuse the fact that I paid $9 for an entree, which was nondescript.

Yum Yum is one of my favorite restaurants in New York. It's a family Thai place whose menu is a mixture of traditional Thai dishes and Thai country-style cuisine, wonderful atmosphere, friendly service, clean, soothing decor. Plus, the owner's daughter seems to be kind of cute. At least I think that's his daughter. Anyway, if you're looking for affordable Thai food in midtown Manhattan, you couldn't do better.

Found out about this restaurant from this site. Great spot! Both our meals were fantastic and the bill only came to $26, including 2 drinks! We went before broadway and thought we may not have enough time before the show. They got us in and out with time to spare! Would highly recommend it!

I got the chicken pad thai, which was good, and the thom kha kai soup, which was excellent. Pretty good volume, too.

Now I have tasted lots of pad thai and this pad thai is the best! The service is a bit rushed, especially if a lot of people are in the restaurant, but thats ok, because their dishes are great, and nice and cheap! Compare other pad thai and you'll find theirs is by far the best!

I came onto MenuPages excited about the high ratings of this place and although it was a little pricey, I still wanted to try it out. So I ordered the spring rolls, paid about 4 dollars for three tiny pieces, smaller than my pinky! I ordered the Thai Rice and found it to be rather bland and not anything special.
