Great bargain choice in theater district
Excellent value for the money, this is a restaurant that is good if you are going to the theater, don't have a reservation, and don't want to spend a lot of money. The food is tasty, and the service is friendly and fast. At these prices, don't expect extremely refined cuisine or anything, but just a tasty and pleasant dinner.

Fairly fast delivery of mediocre food
I ordered chicken satay and shrimp with chili sauce for delivery (2 blocks away) and both were mediocre at best. The chicken was almost cold, the peanut sauce thin as water with chunks of seemingly uncooked peanuts and flavorless (I had no idea anything with peanuts could be...), and the packaging was punctured at the bottom so that greasy, yellowish broth came running out so fast that I was unable to prevent staining on a placemat. The main dish was lukewarm at best as well. The shrimp in chili sauce did not have the usual onions, but a large amount of red bell pepper chunks. One of the reasons I ordered this dish was because it is one of the few dishes without bell pepper, which I cannot eat. The peppers dominated not only in terms of flavor, but also quickly filled the whole room with their smell. The sauce was a starchy, congealing mass with more, smaller (grated?) pieces of bell pepper that was so heavily sugared that it resembled a sweet and sour sauce that ended up on the extremely sweet side. I ended up rinsing the shrimp to be able to eat anything at all. The white rice was fine, albeit, again, flavorless. This was my first order from this place and it will certainly be my last.

Not recommended
At first the cute ambiance excited but but the dining experience was not good. The serving staff was incredibly slow. Had to remind them 3 times about my drink and it never got there. Had to ask for check 4 times. Poor service. Would not bother going there ever again.

Quick service
Food was out in under 10 minutes. Everything was delicious. For lunch they give you a free appetizer and drink with any entree.

Zen-like atmosphere
I've become somewhat of a Thai food junkie and I must say, before trying Yum Yum I peked at the reviews of multiple Thai restaurants in the same location..yum yum looked great from what I read-so I decided to try it myself. Passed by about 4 empty Thai places and as I approached Yum Yum this was by far the busiest. This was a good thing.. popular, and enough waiters to go around def. made this experience flow nicely. Order was taken and delivered in under 15 mins while enjoying a nice glass of one of their multiple wine selections. I chose the Beef Pad Thai- which rated a 4 out of 5 in my book. I highly recommend this place to anyone who's looking for great atmosphere..cheap eats and a nice glass of wine. I'll be a regular at this place =o)

Not Good At All
Was disappointed with my takeout chicken & basil sauce. It was very dry, and the chicken didn't taste fresh at all. They were busy, so maybe the chef was having an off night. That doesn't excuse the fact that I paid $9 for an entree, which was nondescript.
