"Go to" restaurant for sushi delivery
Now that Tomo has closed, Yuki is our "go to" restaurant for Japanese delivery food. They are fast, reliable, and have consistently good food - nothing spectacular but, hey, we're talking about takeout/delivery here.

Not good
I was shocked after all the good reviews that the food was not better. My sushi rolls were poorly made and falling apart. The seaweed was chewy and the fish was average. I expected more and wonder if there is any other sushi in the West 90's that is on par with sushi further downtown.

Never fails to please
I hesitate to write a review, because I'm constantly afraid that this neighborhood gem with be overrun, and I won't be able to get my usual table. The food is fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced compared to Haru and other nearby competitors. The service couldn't be nicer if you went to your grandma's house, and the chefs take pride in the foodadding little flourishes and special presentations. Even the delivery people are nice!! If for some reason Yuki left the neighborhood, I would be tempted to follow it...

Lightening-speed delivery
The food is delicious - fresh fish, tasty combinations. The staff is super-friendly and service is great. The last two times I ordered delivery, they were at my place in under 15 minutes! (and the second time was on a busy Saturday night). You definitely can't go wrong.

Calling All Vegetarians
I have been a vegetarian for over a decade, and have long searched for a sushi restaurant which can offer me more than a cucumber or sweet potato tempura roll ... finally, I have found Yuki! The rolls - including the all-vegetable ones - are so creative, the flavors so interesting, and the ingredients so fresh. I highly recommend the green dragon roll and the peanut avocado roll. Even the more conservative, traditional vegetarian rolls are done vastly better than usual - the cucumber is never slimy, the asparagus is thoroughly cooked but never soggy. Even the non-sushi items are terrific: Yuki has, by far, the best tasting teriyaki sauce on the upper west side. Yet, the greatest part of Yuki has to be the fact that the non-vegetarian dishes are so good that it isn't even a fight to get my totally carnivorous boyfriend to eat there!

Awesome food, fast service..but....
Yuki never fails to make a home run...food's great..sushi is fresh...service is wonderful. The sashimi is to die for..delectable and savory. It melts. But, but... they are on the NY Times list of restaurants with abmorally high levels of mercury in their tuna. The food & service are wonderful, I would just hold off the tuna.

Consistently Excellent Food and Service
Best sushi in the neighborhood. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. We go there every other week and have never had a bad piece of fish. Service is very friendly and attentive. Sake list is long. Highly reccomended. Only caveat is for peak times during Friday and Saturday nights, make a reservation.
