    Paella?

I went to Yuca Bar and saw that the drink list looked good. I ordered the Paella to go, along with some Churros. The Paella was flavorless. The Churros were ok. All in all, other than drinks, a total disappointment.

    Great tapas!

I'm not a fan of Mexican food, so I was hesitant to go to a Latin American place, thinking it would be similar, but oh wow, was I wrong. We ordered 5 different tapas selections and I was truly impressed. Each item, mushroom quesadillas, calamari, these filled things with crabmeat and spinach, and two others I can't remember, was extremely flavorful, and the portions were large enough that we 4 of us splitting 5 dishes left us very satisfied, and only about $10 - $12/person. It was very, very crowded and we had to wait over an hour for a table, even with a reservation, and the server screwed up some of our other friends' orders, but overall, it's a festive atmosphere and delicious food for relatively cheap. I can't wait to go back.

If you go once, you will go again

I visit Yuca Bar at least once a month and I am never dissapointed. Beautiful decor with the Latin-American murals on the walls, lush red walls and ambient lighting, the restaurant is very romantic on slower nights. It can be a bit louder on the more busier nights, but that's because the people are enjoying themselves with their company. The salsa music also adds another touch. Not to mention that the food is amazing! I cannot help but give a rave review because every dish that my guests and I have tried are delicious and beautiful on the plate! For appetizers, try the Empanadas, or the meat skewers, and for entrees, you can never go wrong with the Pollito, Puerquito Cubano, or any of the fish entrees. And you must have the churros or the Tres Leches Cake!

Great Blend of Spanish Food and Atmosphere

I thought this place was great! We went there on Saturday January 21st with a group of 11. They were very gracious, even though we were all late looking for parking spots. The drinks were delicious and so was the food. We had several appetizers, several different cocktails, and good sized entrees. All for about $40 a person. Try the mojitos and the peach margaritas. I had the yuca salmon, and it was perfect. Definitely enjoyed this place!

    My new standby

Lively atmosphere and great food. Since we found out about this place we have returned several times. Have yet to have a single bad item from the menu. The only con is when they get busy you feel a little rushed, but with food this good and resonable who cares.

    Average Food

We visited the Yuca Bar with a party of six on a very slow night. We found the service inattentive and mistake-ridden. The food garnered mixed reviews. Some were pleased with their selections, while others ran for the tiny bathrooms. The actual "yuca fries" were a top pick, but tasted more like onion rings than anything potato-based. Avoid the hamburgers at all costs.
