Great food at great prices
I was having a serious chinese food craving and my usual place wasn't picking up their phone (?!). I tried Young Chow but was skeptical since I'm a pretty picky chinese food eater. My take-out arrived in under 30 minutes for only 8 bucks (tip included!) and it was SO good. I was really impressed with the food quality and taste. Their dumplings are awesome, not too thick or thin and the hot and sour soup (my fav) was really rich in flavor. I'm definitely switching to this place! The delivery guy was also really nice and appropriate...sometimes you just get weirdos. If you're looking for fast, cheap and good quality takeout, order from Young Chow.

Great food for great price.
I always try to keep my food costs low, not an easy thing to do in NYC. Thankfully, I found this place. Cheapest Chinese take-out place I've found in Manhattan. The lunch special that includes soup, soda, or egg roll, is only $5.75 or $6.00 and contains a very generous portion of food. I would recommend the Boneless Spare Ribs and fried dumplings.

Really fresh
Was pleasantly surprised. Not your average Chinese food joint. My lo mein wasn't overly salty, the veggies were fresh and the shrimp were de-veined and only cost $6.25 for a quart. Great deal. Not so much of a sit-down place, but would definitely recommend it to anyone in the neighborhood in need of a quick and cheap bite to eat. Will be back for sure!

It was never great, but now worse
My shredded pork w/scallions was delivered almost raw, it was red inside, and the meat was like gristle and tough. It was pure salt. My skewered beef was so tough, and I could smell it as soon as I opened the brown bag, smelled of old oil gone bad, I covered it in mustard to rid the bad oil deep fried taste.

super fresh take out
I love high end chinese, but let's face it, sometimes you want the down and dirty chinese take out that alot of us grew up eating. That's what I was expecting when I ordered from Young Chow and actually they pleasantly surprised me with the lightness and freshness of their Moo Goo Gai Pan. The snow peas were bright green and super crisp... the bamboo shoots were FRESH, not the prepackaged or canned. All of the flavor I love in the dish was there, but without the heaviness. Egg roll, was EH... an OK eggroll, but the egg drop soup was also surprisingly light. YUM! See what you think!

Best cheap Chinese delivery
I was really pleasantly surprised by how good the food was, especially for being pretty cheap. The chicken was very tender and the walnut shrimp was great. Most of all, it just didn't have that generic Chinese food flavor that food from most places has. This will be my new delivery place.

Great food if you're looking for cheap
Young Chow has some of the best CHEAP Chinese food north of Chinatown. You can't beat their lunch and dinner specials. Order for pickup and you can be in and out the door in under 30 seconds. Not a place to dine in at.
