perfect food
This is one, if not, the best Sushi place in the East Village. Food and service are perfect. Sometimes the music is too loud

Love it!
I order from Yoshi several nights a week. They have great vegetarian sushi, deliver fast, and they're open late. What's not to love? I often ask for extra ginger and no wasabi and instead get the normal ginger-and-wasabi, but other than that and the fact that they bombard your building with menus, they're great.

Food ok but bad Experience
Ate at Yoshi last night and had a bad experience. The minute our food came fruit flies came SWARMING all over our food!! As we ate we kept having to swat the fruit flies away. And you can't say it's not Yoshi's fault for the flies. Fruit flies are a sign that the place is dirty and that they don't toss our their garbage. And they were blasting the worst R&B pop music. Seriously - I don't want to listen to Single Ladies as I eat my sushi. Only high point of the meal is the value you get from ordering the special rolls. For average price of $11 you get a roll that is 10 pieces. But the sushi here is not the best sushi like everyone states. Its just okay. If you like eating average sushi with fruit flies surrounding your food as you eat, then Yoshi is your place. But I will never visit again. There are other sushi places that are better and most importantly CLEAN!!

Best Sushi in the E. Village!
We love Yoshi! The quality is incredible! We actually had conversations about it with the owner Peter as well as the head Chef...Master Chan. As fresh as fish as possible, the rolls are unique and awesome! Chef rolls are huge too, making them great value and quantity. Love the steamed shrimp shumai. If you like shumai, these will blow you away. They are incredibly friendly too...they make sure to remember you. Def. cheap, def. awesome.

order take out all the time
I love this place. Every single time I order delivery I get free stuff. The staff is extremely courteous and the food is always pretty fresh. Logically, on weekends the food is super super fresh.

I love this place!
If it's possable to have a 'down home' feel at a NYC sushi joint, this place hast it. Great sushi and great people!

Super Cheap Eats
The food isnt to bad here at all, and they always deliver super fast. The sushi is a fair price for how good it is, not crap but not super great either. I eat here a bunch because it is cheap without being scary bad quality.
