Great Brunch
Have had brunch several times and always enjoyed my meal. The brunch menu does start at $19.95 and up and there are a few choices at $19.95. Service was very good. I will be back again and again.

Misleading Advertising/ Don't understand keeping the cusstomer happy
Way too many choices in N.Y. to be sucked into this dark, slightly pretentious restauarant that takes itself way too seriously and doesn;t know how to retain customers. Brunch is advertisd as $19.95 - including a drink. Only one entree Is $19.95b & it was served with cold potatoes. They nickel and dime customer requests - almost every thing you request is "another $2.00" Go to your local Irish pub - the food will be better and you won'y be irritated or "taken"

Out of the way gem
Had not been here in about a year and that was my loss. We went last night and realized what it was like to be in a restaurant where we were treated like an appreciated customer again rather than the rushed and crammed experiences whcih we have been experiencing in so many places lately. The food was excellent, service was gracious and the decor is done in a way to muffle loud voices so that you do not feel like you are in a shouting match with nearby tables yet the place had a lively vibe. We will return very soon. Thank you for a wonderful meal and evening. Oh, and folks need to save room for the outstanding desserts too!

Unexpected surprise
We stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for a good brunch spot. My dad was visiting so I really wanted a memorable experience. Well, York Grill really exceeded our expectations. First off, the ambiance was perfect. We were given a comfortable table by the window and it was a beautiful day. The decor was really nice and sort of artsy elegant. Brunch started at $19 and came with a complementary mimosa, muffin basket, and fruit platter. We were a party of 5 and everything that was ordered was so good! I had an omelet which was really good and you can create your own. The steak and eggs was incredible. The steak was perfectly cooked and flavored. I highly recommend. The blueberry pancakes were amazing as well. A little too much blueberry sauce for my liking but also highly recommended. The Kobe burgers were also really good and came with a nice light salad on the side. If you are looking for a nice restaurant with really good food this is the place. Although it can get pricy, it is worth it. We will definitely be back!

always a pleasure
I've lived in the upper east side for 12 years and haven't eaten a meal in my condo in at least 7 years. I hit all the local eateries and still spend the most time at the York Grill. The service is always "top notch" and I'm always greated with a smile. Tony and Charlie make you feel like family,if you've been there 2 times or 200 times. The skirt steak is spectacular, the best in NYC and the warm romaine salad is always a must starter for me. my freinds ,when not getting a skirt steak love the rack of lamb. Portions are huge and the drinks are more than a value. There is a reason this place has been around for so long as other places close the doors.Go check it out, you'll be happy you did.

Amazing Service and Atmosphere
Our family took our older aunt to the York Grill for her birthday. We were hopeful dinner would be a great experience but fearful it would not be her 'thing' since she is used to less eclectic dining. It was the hottest day of summer and we walked to the York Grill - 6 blocks - the walk being our aunt's idea. We were greeted to a warm welcome as we hustled into the AC and seated (with reservations) right away. The atmostphere was wonderful. Diverse tables (couples on dates, couples with babies, groups) all having a great time. Our server, Karen, was simply outstanding....outgoing, helpful, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the fare. The food was excellent. Salads, spring rolls and the skirt steak were all delicious as was the salmon. We will be back in the fall!
