Yerba Buena

I went here for a birthday party recently and had a wonderful experience!! They have a great private room in the basement that you can reserve for large parties (we were ~18 people). Unlike many restaurants in the city, they allow you to order from the regular menu and do not constrict you to a limited large party menu. The servers were very friendly and accomodating. We had to wait about a half hour to be seated, but the maitre'd more than made up for it by giving the entire table free shots and a glass of desert wine. The cocktails are exceptional. Every dish ordered was also delicious, especially the miso cod. I will most certainly be back!!

Very creative and exotic cocktails with interesting ingredients. $7 during happy hour can't beat other drinks at a regular lounge. Food menu doesn't seem attractive but once u ordered it, you'll be surprised how great the food is.

We came here with a party of 12 To celebrate my gf's birthday (it was everyone's birthday this day since we have sung it about 3 additional times for others). We shared quite a few appetizers such as calamari, chips with guacamole, fried plantains, and empanadas ( Which had to have been the best I ever had). I had a whiskey smash, and later on had a Hemingway which contains Flor De Cana (one of my favorite rums). Both of which were very good and pleasantly strong. As a main dish, I decided to go with the Lechon, which consisted of different kinds of Pork, perfect for pork lovers like me. Another really good dish that others in our group had was the arroz con pollo. The rice is simply amazing in it. If you are not a pork eater, I highly suggest having the arroz con pollo. You will NOT be disappointed. Their staff has done an excellent job at accommodating all of us. Excellent food + excellent drinks + excellent service = 5 stars. Cheers

This is a perfect mid-week place AND it’s on Open Table. The restaurant is modest on the outside but inside is a warm lively room run by a charming and hospitable owner and manager!! Every dish was delicious. The fish tacos were full of fresh flavors!! Our table’s favorites were the panco-coated hearts of palm and empanadas. The paella was very unique yet delicious. Share several of the small dishes, you will not be disappointed! AND If you are hosting a group dinner or bachelorette take a look at the great hidden room downstairs! It’s adorable!! I will definitely host a party down there.

This place is a little GEM. Service was beyond attentive. Food was absolultely delicious. We had the Cod- it was like butter. The ribs were great too. Loved the fish tacos. Can't say enough great things. Perfect little date night place.

From the impeccable service, out of this world food, and amazing drinks, this place is the BEST. The manager, is so welcoming and attentive. If you're looking for a perfect date spot or fun group dinner with amazing food and cocktails, this is THE place! Favorite must-haves: Drink: Pequito Picante, App: baja fish tacos, arrepas, Main: black cod, Dessert: churros. Done.

I had never been before, but based on the previous reviews I figured this would be a good spot for a special occasion dinner. I took my boyfriend out for his birthday and couldn't have been happier with our experience. We were seated right on time, the atmosphere was dark and intimate but still fun. Our waitress was very nice and offered her favorite items on the menu, since it was our first time. The drinks were delicious and strong! We chose to order a few small plates instead of an entree and each dish was better than the next. The beef empanadas were fantastic! The restaurant provided a happy birthday dessert (with sparklers) free of charge as well as a complimentary glass of champagne to toast my boyfriend's birthday. I highly recommend Yerba Bueno for a date night, small group dinner or special occasion. You won't be disappointed!
