Great food and value in Harlem
An oft overlooked local spot, my wife and I decided to venture in and "just grab a drink". We ended up ordering the Valentine's Day prix fixe menu and was treated to the best dinner we'd had in some time. Course after course was simply delicious and the wait staff though particularly busy did a great job of keeping things going. Did I mention my steak au poivre was superb? Great job Yatenga for bringing such quality to the neighborhood. We'll be back for brunch!

What a find!
What a find! Food is great and cocktails are dangerously moreish! AND, they deliver - it's very hard to find a decent restaurant to deliver in Central Harlem.

Great French food/bistro in Harlem
Great Harlem best French bistro & bar Yatenga we love you I was there my friends out of town for dinner we got a great time good fresh food , good service , very great deco and I love Yatenga

Good Food, Inconsistant Service
This is another example of the blight that seems to affect restaurants in Harlem; good, even great, food, but the service can sometimes be insufferable. Was there recently, and our waiter made so many mistakes: 1. Did not get our drink order correct, 2. Sat at the bar and talked to the bartender without even giving us water, 3. Never bussed the table between courses, and 4. Did not give us the appropriate silverware for the meal (Have you ever tried cutting steak with a butter knife?). This is such a shame because the food is a great value (the prix fix is an especially good bargain), but the stress of enduring poor service makes the whole experience unpleasant.

Going back tonight!
Shared a fantastic meal here last Sat. night with friends. We tried the salmon, duck and steak...all were very good. Chocolate souffle for dessert was a nice surprise. The service was friendly, the prices reasonable, I really enjoyed it and am going back tonight!

Very nice
Went there last night. Had the duck and the steak au poivre. Both of them very good. House red wine excellent. People friendly. Will definitely go back.

Yatenga - my go-to spot for a local dinner
I went to Yatenga again last night and my experience was even better than last time. All of our food was excellent - the mussels appetizer in particular tasted extremely fresh. I had the sole special and my boyfriend had the steak sandwich, both of which were tasty. The service was prompt and friendly. Yatenga will definitely be my go-to spot for a local dinner from now on.
