We preface this review by admitting that having sushi delivered is sacrilegious, but sometimes laziness wins out. The sushi deluxe combo falls into those average (passable, mid-priced) sushi dinners with oversized, quasi-fresh pieces where eating a whole nigiri subjects the diner to a case of lockjaw. Note to the Chef: quantity is no substitute for quality. However, the ‘Super Crispy Shrimp’ was a nice surprise – profoundly crispy and tasty and served with an ingenious, cherry(?) fruit dip.

So upsetting how this restauarant has gone downhill in the last few months. I used to go here all the time and I just waited an hour for delivery. Do you want my sushi after an hour because I don't.

My friend recommended this place to me 8 years ago and I am still greatful for that! The place is great! I am a sushi rolls lover and rolls in this place are the best! They are always very fresh and absolutely delicious. I took there a lot of friends and everybody loved it! I took a friend who knows about food and cooking everything and who is very particular about food and even he loves it. Every time my daughter comes to see me from Boston we go there, she also brought a lot of friends to this place. I don't understand how somebody can say negative things about this restaurant! But like I said I love sushi and I don't know the quality of other food there. Maybe those negative reviews are about different meal. Can't say! Prices are great too! I always go there for my birthday and my friends are always wondering how cheap it is! If you are sushi/rolls lover you must go there! I promise, you will love it!

I have been to tons of sushi places and this one was great. We had the nicest waitress even though we got there right before last call and everything was still wonderful and fresh. Would love to go back and highly recommend it.

Yama Bait & Tackle is the only fitting title and should be the name of this restaurant. I am still on the google trying to find out more info about human consumption of bait. They need to take a hint from their cousin on Houston and shut down too. This is another case of knowing better and being lazy, and being too hungry to make good restaurant decisions. They are officially DONE! You know the feeling when you are eating sushi and you know that it’s not right! Well nuff said. So if you are going deep sea fishing and you are short on bait, use their take out menu, and good luck on your trip. If you are looking for good sushi, this is not the spot.

Went here with a few friends for dinner. The food was good (altough $12 for a 6 piece roll is a little much for me); nice outdoor patio in the back. service wasn't great. didn't check on us once throughout the meal. so if you don't care about cost that much i highly recommend it; but otherwise i think there are some other places just as good.

I don't know what all the haters are talking about. I love this Yama. The food is great especially the sushi. The service is friendly. And the outdoor garden is very nice in the spring. This is my go to sushi spot.
