Not all it is said to be!
First of all, this place smells really bad. It is a hole in the wall type of place. They sell Japanese food items for your household which is nice, but they should have stuck with that. Yes, the sushi is very cheap. You can get a spicy tuna roll for $4.50, but their lunch specials will costs you around $7.00 including tax. I ordered the salmon teriyaki and I was disappointed. My fish was cut in half which means I did not get a whole slice, the bean sprouts were nasty, and the ramen noodles were too salty for my liking. This place is for quick sushi or groceries only. I would not purchase hot food from here. The service is good since the line moves fast which pleased me since the smell was so bad.

Great Food, Great Location, Great Prices
This is a great place to grab lunch in mid-town Manhattan. Has great home style Japanese food, healthy options. Has a great mini mart that stocks Japanese products too, just love this place.

The Best Japanese Fast Food and Grocery!
Forget about teriyaki boy! Yagura is the place to go! It is so inexpensive considering that it is located in the city. I love their bento boxes which can be heated and ready in seconds. The grocery store in the back makes it all the better to shop while you wait for you tonkatsu to be made! I recommend this place to everyone!

Good lunch take out
I used go here all the time for lunch. where else could u find food that is cheap and made to order so it's hot just for you for under 5 bucks. the prices have increased by 50 cents i think but the food is still worth the price. it's a good cheap japanese fast food and healthier than real fast food ... much healthier. i've never dined in because it's usually crowded and plus i work a lot. there's also some hand rolls available. i've had the beef don and oyoko don, and chicken teriyaki don. all rather good and hot.

Grocery store with take-out
The menu has your typical Japanese dishes, including noodles, plus a limited selection of pre-made sushi. Food is tasty and inexpensive. Counter service is efficient. Try their "Curry W. Fried Chicken"
