great!
Very stylish place without being obnoxiously fadish. My friend got the Mediterranean Platter, and I tried almost everything on it, and it all tasted great. I had the sauteed chicken that came with marvelously marinated artichokes and mushrooms on it.

Love it
I have been there a few times and I think the food is yummy. Everything I have tried I would order again. I love the selection for vegetarians as well. I have had the same waitress each time I went and she is a very friendly.

Terrible
I had been to the other Yaffa's which was fine- so I was very surprised with my experience at the tea room. I had seen the Mediterranean platter on the menu walking by before and decided to try it. The olives were awful and the grape leaves tasted rancid. I would have complained- but even though no one else was in the restaurant, the service was slow and the waitress was missing for quite some time. The only good thing was their freshly squeezed lemonade. Don't bother.

what a great place!
I just moved to the neighborhood and love this place. The food is great. The staff is fun and attentive. There is no ego-tripping here. Just sit back, relax and enjoy. The food was great. I had the Mediterranean Platter and my friend had Moroccan Chicken. We loved it. Cheap for tribeca standards.

1st & last time
went here over the summer...won't be going back. Place seemed unclean, food didn't seem fresh and the service was lacking. I don't understand how they stay in business with all the great places within 2 blocks of here.

Cute place
Highest marks go to service. Very nice wait staff of young women. Food was fine. Portions not overly generous, but fine. Kind of place you can sit and relax and be left alone if you want to.

A hidden gem
This is a great place to relax and eat fairly cheap food for the area. Waitstaff is fun and knowledgeable about food and ingredients. Don't expect high class dinning here. It's a great spot to drink and eat delicious food in relaxed atmosphere. i love their Mediterranean Platter and great nachos with goat and cheddar cheese. Since I just move to the neighborhood this is going to be my hang out place for the summer.
