I had a wonderful lunch there with soup that was not too salty, light and filling. On the second visit my wife ordered salmon pasta which had very acidic tomatoes and the salmon did not taste fresh. Stick with chicken. The restaurant is not expensive and a good quiet weekday location to get away from the noise and have a civil conversation.

1Y ( formerly "Y", formerly formerly "Wai") Cafe is my go to place when I'm too tired to cook, want something filling, but don't want to completely blow out a diet. There's just no other place for this kind of craving anywhere on the neighborhood. The menu is quite a bit inconsistent -- the items I love I can't get anywhere else and truly crave them. But then there are some weird surprises when I stray from my favorites. The highs: - the "y" salad, filled to the brim with crunchy romaine, garbanzos, tofu and avocado. I'm from California and this is one of the only places in NY that does salad right. Oh and the carrot ginger dressing is awesome. - Stir-fry chicken, which actually has tons of healthy veggies in it, a tasty light garlic sauce on brown rice. This is definitely not the greasy takeout version - general tsos, once again the only place that makes this dish tasty, crispy and light, not covered in grease and batter The lows: - insta crepes - bizarre open faced chicken sandwich that was just a cutlet on toast But overall, the place is a hidden gem! I only get delivery here, so I can't judge the ambiance but delivery is always fast and reliable.

From the appetizer to the dessert, I was fully satisfied. Everything was very tasty, well-seasoned. Salad was fresh. Portions were decent. Delivery was fast. Will definitely order again.

Whenever we're watching our diet, Wai is the place to order from. They have a couple of dishes that are pure, healthy, and good to eat. Their Greek Grilled Shrimp is one of the them and, of course, all the salad entrees. I highly recommend their Thousand Island dressing that come with the salads. Also their Low-fat entrees are good -it's like you cooked a low-fat meal at home only you ordered it instead. I've been ordering from here for about many years.

I've ordered it a bunch of times delivery and it's always really good and doesn't have too much breading or oil. Delivery's quick, there's a bunch of healthy chicken items on the menu (which I find hard to get delivery in this area, particularly after 9 or ten, and they're open till midnight).

I usually eat in or take out from Wai Cafe at least once a week with my girlfriend. It's always empty it seems but the food is fresh and very tasty. Prices are pretty cheap, with 2 entrees , drinks and tip usually less than $30. Service is fast but decor is minimal. Overall I reccommend.

For many years, I've ordered from here, and have never been dissapointed. The crepes are great. The food always tastes fresh and they have awsome specials.
