Tiger salad, why so expensive?
I love everything about this place except for ONE thing. The tiger vegetable salad seems strangely overpriced compared to other items. Why so??

finally! some real chinese cuisine represented in nyc
xi'an foods was a long-awaited adventure for me and my companions. we are greatly tied to shannxi cuisine which was very nicely represented here. extra salty and spicy - cumin lamb with chinese flatbread and spicy tofu were highlights. great bang for your buck - which is a very awesome characteristic of chinese street food. we had a nice convo with the agreeable ladies behind the counter too. didn't get the chance to try the pig's blood pudding & tiger vegetable salad - for next time!

My new favorite place!
The lamb burger is amazing. One of the best deals in the entire city at $2.50. The liang pi noodles are great too, and you get a heaping amount for $5. Delicious soft / spicy tofu ($2), reminded me of Korean stew, which is a great thing. It's too bad there's nowhere to eat (except for a standing counter for 2), and the line can stretch outside, but service is always pleasant and as speedy as they can manage. Love it.
