After seeing all the great reviews, my wife and I tried this tonight, and we both really enjoyed it. Had the shrimp summer rolls, which were prepared well, and served with a nice peanut dipping sauce. We spiced them up with some of the hot sauce on the table though, since we like stuff spicy. I had the Pho Do Bien (seafood Pho) and she had the Pho Xe Lua (larger bowl of mixed beef). The bowls came with the requisite greens and bean sprouts, although unfortunately no cilantro, which I like. Soups were hot and pretty flavorful, and we both enjoyed them. The bill was quite reasonable, and we both had quite enough to eat. We'll be back to try some other things on the menu. Service was super friendly and quick, and the place was surprisingly pretty empty. Note that there are far more things on the menu here on the web than on the printed one; the Pho Do Bien was not on the menu on the table, but they made it no problem. I suspect that they will make any of the items listed here whether or not they are on the menu at the restaurant.

The dish I dream about is the salt and pepper shrimp, I rate it as as #1 shrimp dish in NYC! Always a pleasure and you are assured a great meal everytime.

Make sure you sit in the front by the big open doors. This is the first place I have ever been to in China town that has an open front. The Beef Pho was delicious - Summer rolls with peanut sauce and garlic chili sauce were refreshing and really hit the spot on this hot summer evening. The thin sliced pork was very tasty and is a great sized portion for only $10. I shared these three dishes with my wife and we both felt satisfied. The flavors were all very special and the food had a clean crisp energy to it. We will definitely return!

We were looking for an affordable quick eat after a long day at the beach and came across Xe Lua. Ordered the Xe Lua Khai Vi, which was a great choice as it is 1. fun to make 2. it gives you a taste of everything and 3. it was delicious. The decor was slightly stigmatic however it was very comfortable and suitable. The waiter did seem very busy and we had to remind him before we received the bill. I have already been back once and would highly recommend this place to anyone interested in a tasty and different evening meal.

The staff is great and the restaurant is very pleasant. The sauce on our veggie entree was quite good. Veggies were a bit overcooked. Veggie spring rolls were uninspired. Staff very helpful when we asked about avoiding MSG. Because we did, we probably missed all the best dishes.

Take it from me, I ate practically every Vietnamese’s restaurant in the city, there is nothin’ like T’is. Very nice host, staff and chef, every one is very friendly, the host is always smiling, the chef cam to check on my food, the staff always check on me, I though they were interested in me, but nahhhhh, they were interested to serve me. Too bad, may be better luck next time. Oh yes about the food…….. I love the Salt & Pepper Shrimp, it was big any tasty. Don’t forget to order the popular appetizer, rice paper wrap, no other place do it better. My girl friend ordered the grape fruit shrimp salad, I try it and now I’m hook. I look forward to go back there to check out their kitchen……. Any one wants to come with me?
