Not that Good Anymore
I took a friend to lunch for her birthday. The chow fun was dry and the mini pork buns as well and they tasted like vinegar. This place was a waste of time and money.

Has Gone Down Considerably
I usually order from here when I cannot get through to the place on W48th Street. Now I wish I had just didn't bother. The Chow Fun was dry and the mini pork buns were dry and tasted like vinegar. Never again. I treated my friend for lunch. It was her birthday. I was embarassed. HM

Poor Serive / went down hill.
My friends and I went to Wu Liang Ye on July 22, 2009 around 9:35pm. Soon as we were seated, the waiter said(in a rude tone) we need to order and get out by 10pm. We quickly order soup and chicken with cashew nuts. The soup bowls were dirty, there was rice sticking to the sides. He also noticed it, and give us new bowls and told us the rice was "free". The waiter was very rude, this place have really gone downhill. I used to go here for a number of years now. I will be going elsewhere.

Great food, great staff. Prices are a bit high but worth it.

NYC Supper Club Review
This place is a gem of a Chinese restaurant. With over 100 menu items, you can pick just about anything you are in the mood for. But that’s not all; the quality of food is outstanding. I visited for lunch, and it was truly wonderful. The Wonton Soup was delicious, and then came the Beef Filets with Hunan Sauce. Now I like it spicy so I ordered it extra spicy. Man was it ever!! Red chili peppers throughout, mixed with green and red peppers, mushrooms, and broccoli and of course beef. The beef was so tender that it melts in your mouth. I will be going back there and trying many more dishes over the next several months. The service was outstanding was well. Even though it was at the busiest time of the day (peak lunch hour) I waited very littole for my food. The wait staff were all attired in a suit and tie. My water glass was never even close to empty. Everyone was friendly with a positive attitude. One slight drawback is that the place is small. Only about 30 tables. So sometime, you may have to wait a bit. But it doesn’t matter because your meal is definitely worth a bit of waiting. The prices are very rreasonable and they will deliver as well (free). This is one of the4 best Chinese restaurants in all of Manhattan. I was very pleased with the outcome of this lunch and will return here many times in the future.

Poor Customer Service
We've ordered by phone many times, but this latest time was the LAST time. After phoning in a $70 order, it was delivered, but without any rice. We called at least a dozen times over the course of an hour and then finally the rice was delivered. Not even an apology from the person that we spoke to. Add to that, we ordered not one, but two orders of barbecued spare ribs. I took the first one out of the bag and it looked as though it was cooked for days. No meat, just bone. I figured that maybe it was a little well done so I tried another. Same result. In fact, all of the ribs looked as though they were cooked for days. This was mentioned in the phone call as well and not even the slightest hint of an apology. We weren't looking for anything monetary, just an apology or as a restaurant with good customer service would do, send over a complimentary order. Suffice it to say, I will be looking elsewhere for Chinese food.

ehh
the advertised 5.95 lunch special is non-existent. I tried to order the "wet" style beef chow fun, only to be told they cant make it now since the restaurant was busy. the waiter recommended the regular style beef chow fun. Little did I know, the beef chow fun was really really really salty! I went through 3 cups of water for one dish! The portion was non existent.
