Reviewers Don't know how to order
Reading some of the reviews, it seems to me that many of the reviewers are ordering wrong at the Wu. You need to order Szechuan food here. Don't order Americanized Chines food that you get in other places or which Chines places develop for americans that like General Tso's chicken or similar. Order poached chicken, dumplings, dan dan noodles, etc. Sheesh.

Poorest restaurant in Manhattan
The dish we ordered was not fresh and extremely oily tasting. We should have checked prior reviews (which are all bad). DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THIS PLACE there are too many other good restaurants in Manhattan.

Not recommended
The meat dish was unrecognizable as any meat I've ever seen. The broccoli was old -- half yellow. The service was extremely rude.

Let Down
Service was really rude--brusque, curt answers, and the wait time was really long. As for the food, if you like the taste of oily plastic drinking straws, you'll love Wu Liang Ye's. My stomach felt dirty afterwards.

Ruined mother's day
We just had dinner this evening at this restaurant. Visiting from Philly for a special mother's day, my daughter had chosen this restaurant for our pre-theater dinner. The unsmiling, stern waiter got two out of four dinners that we ordered wrong. When we explained the problem, the waiter looked angrier and walked away, leaving us uncertain whether we could expect any resolution. No apology, no words at all. We sat there baffled until we could get his attention. After seriously reprimanding us for not being clear enough when ordering he muttered he was replacing one meal. How does this place stay in business? We order these same meals at every Chinese restaurant and they are pretty basic (my husband likes very spicy vegetarian food, but not my daughter) but her veggie meal was cooked the same as his, extremely spicy. He didn't come near us again to ask if we were ok. We had to ask for water glasses to be refilled. Food was average and overpriced. The experience cast a pall on our mother's day. My daughter apologized for choosing this restaurant. I felt terrible for her. Please don't patronize this restaurant.

Rude waiter & poor food
Just had dinner there; The waiter was surprisingly rude and careless; Food was salty and in very poor quality; The price is ridiculous with such bad combination of food and service; Please don't waste your money.
