I decided to eat here because the pizza place across the street got a Grade C on their health inspection. I ordered a Mexican sandwich but on a wheat wrap w/ avocado. I'm usually very understanding when it comes to the food service industry being that I've worked in it for a few years. However, this place was a disappointment. First off, the price was a bit ridiculous. I know I know, it's the upper east side so prices are expected to be pretty high... but c'mon there's nothing special at this place. Second, the place is empty so why does it take such a long time to make the damn wrap? There weren't anybody there and clearly no deliveries. Just a bunch of Mexicans chatting. Third, I get back to work about to devour this small, over-priced, not even warm piece of crap they call a wrap and guess what? The avocado is missing! On my way back to work I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt but they really screwed up. I call the place up (number is printed on the bag) and I ask the person who answered the phone if he remembered taking my order. He says, "Yeah, Mexican w/ avocado.. what happened?" I tell him about the mishap and he goes.. " Are you sure?.. Fine fine, I will give you avocado for free next time." What makes him think I will be going back? I wouldn't be so sulky and bitter if the place was busy but they took their time and still managed to make a mistake. Not worth it.

Have tried almost everything and have never been disappointed.

Please explain to me how a vegetable wrap loaded, i mean loaded, with salt is healthy? After eating only half of it and throwing the rest out, 5 minutes and 2 glass of water later, I can still taste the salt on my tongue. I will never order from this place ever again. My co-worker ordered the onion rings, thinking that they would be fresh, since Quality Food appears on their menu, and what did she get? Frozen onion rings.

I would never order from here if it wasn't for their fat free yogurt smoothies. The Tropical Paradise is by far my favorite. Their chicken sandwiches are pretty good and every now and then I'll enjoy a wrap, but they don't know how to cook a decent hamburger and their breakfast stuff is just mediocre. However, if you're a health conscious smoothie lover who is too lazy to walk to Jamba Juice or Equinox, just order one from here. They don't have a minimum delivery order, which is nice.

Fresh food, generous portions, fast and friendly staff

We walked in on a Sunday and they charged us an extra dollar for every item, claiming the menu prices are for M-F. Also, paid extra for a bagel only to come all the way home and sandwich was put on a roll instead. So they can't even get the order right. Wouldn't come here again when there are so many better delis in NYC.
