If you're like me and not familiar with Korean food this is a good starting point. There's a buffet which is $7.99/lb that gives you a chance to try different things to see what you like and don't like. Have been there 2x & had no problem with seating either time. On my second visit, the buffet food was just barely warm. The place is clean, the cashier was friendly and the location is just down the street from Macy's. Not a great experience but certainly not a bad one. For $20 for 2, I would definitely recommend it to someone looking for a budget friendly meal in NYC

If kimchi for $6.99/lb is what you want, go for it. Buffet by the pound: hot=warm, tastless fare in a spartan setting. Sucked in by the favorable reviews. Cheap maybe, but a most disappointing dining experience.

Here at Woorijip, you'll find a big selection of delicious Korean food at an affordable price and decent quality. They offer a buffet section which allows you to get a bit of everything. It's great for trying out much of what Korean cuisine has to offer. The atmosphere is vibrant, which makes the meal even more enjoyable. The staff here is very friendly as well. Lastly, this place even has a spot that asks you for recommendations on how the restaurant can improve itself. Such unpretentiousness only boasts the restaurant's confidence.

I was looking for a cheap place to eat and get my Korean fix. I ate at Kum Gang San a couple nights ago. While the food was spectacularly delicious, it was a bit pricey for me. I ate dinner at Woorijip, spent a fraction of the cost and got to eat what I wanted in smaller portions thanks to the buffet. There were also some things there that normally aren't on other korean restaurants' menus. I'd definitely eat here many more times!

Tried this for the first time today at the recommendation of other reviewers here. My experience with the staff was excellent--they happily answered questions and pointed me where I needed to go to find what I wanted. The food is excellent and you can't beat the price. Lots of veg options. Go here!

Fresh, Authentically Korean & Affordable! Go try it: You get to pick whatever catches your fancy and join the fast queue to pay for your food. The only snag is having difficulty getting a seat/table since it's always super crowded at meal times.
