great eatery!
I come here with friends every now and then. We absoultely love this place! the food is great, the service was very good. It's not a very romantic spot. However, in it's defense, It carries a very comfortable atmosphere. A little advice: If the mood should strike you, try the pork chops, it's to die for!

Great food and great service
This is one of my favorite Thai places in the city! The decor is definitely lacking but it has big windows that allow alot of bright light and comfortable seating. It can accomodate small and large groups (I once saw a table for 12 having lunch after a colllege graduation..w/out a reservation). I usually get kua gai noodle or the chicken pad thai. Both are absolutely delicious - not too much sauce but not lacking in flavor. However, the must get item is the dumplings! They're delicate steamed dumplings heartily filled with cabbage, peanuts and I'm not sure what else, but they're fantastic! Not your typical dumplings that need to be doused in soy sauce for flavor. And, I'm pretty sure that they're vegetarian too! The service is pretty quick and very consistent. They've never let me down and they're certainly not condescending when I feel like having lunch alone!

Good, good, good
Went with a group, tried several dishes. the Crispy Duck was fantastic, as are their salads and appetizers. the pad thai was decent, though nothing to write home about. only one flavor in your mouth. over all, very recommended -- would definitely go back. we were really pleased with our choices.

Fast delivery
I just ordered from here today for lunch and the pad thai and beef salad was delicious. The food came within 30 minutes so that was good. The total came out to $16 and i gave him a $20 asking for $2 back. He gave me the strangest look and said "it's $16" being a teen I do not feel like i need to tip the delivery guy more than a dollar or two for a "free delivery". Doesn't he get paid for delivering anyway?

Good Food, Poor Service
Went here with my girlfriend on a weekday evening (got there around 8pm). The food was pretty good; my gf ordered the Lemon Grass Chicken and I the Kanom Jeeb and Pad Kra Ree. She also ordered soup for an appetizer, but I forget which one. In any case, the service, which for me is most important for any restaurant, was poor on this particular evening, as my Pad Kra Ree never came after 30 minutes of waiting. The first plate to come to our table, the Lemon Grass Chicken, came first, taking over 15 minutes for it to arrive. Not only that, we noticed a few other people get their meals before us - and they came in more than 10 minutes AFTER we did. Two other guys who were sitting at the table adjacent to ours was told that their food "would take longer than usual," something that definitely rubbed me the wrong way. I canceled my Pad Kra Ree order due to the unacceptable length of time it took to get the other food (the Lemon Grass Chicken came before the Kanom Jeeb, which I thought was wrong). When I went to voice my disapproval of the service to the manager, I was told to "come back when it is less busy." We won't be coming to this place ever again. The food is good, there's no doubt about that (especially their Thai Iced Tea), but avoid this place at all costs if its packed, as they aren't organized well enough to handle a packed house. There are plenty of other restaurants within blocks of this one you can go to.

Great food, not so great decor
Wondee Siam II is a wonderful Thai place in Hell's Kitchen. Lived here for a few years and walked by it everytime because it looked lame. Eat there the other day with my girfriend and we both feel in love. The decor it bootleg but the food is awsome. The Duck Panag is so good. Do forget the fried ice cream. Don't miss out on this great Thai place.

Great Food
This place was recommended by a thai colleague who said that this was one of his favourite thai restaurants in the city. Now it is one of mine too. The food is very good and the service is always warm and friendly. The atmosphere is a lot nicer than the small original across the street. The fact that they opened a second, much larger one lets you know why wondee siam is popular. I always ask for my pork basil fried rice EXTRA spicy.
