Went here on a Sunday night, was promptly sat, and served with a very large bread bowl (several different options inside) and waters immediately... The meat was excellent... we had 5 people, got the steak for 4 and it was plenty, and a couple of sides. The waiters were friendly/fun and very attentive and the food was hot and delicious... The food came out very quickly after we ordered- the caeser salad and creamed spinach were awesome! And, to top it all off the creme brule was one of the best I have ever had! Definitely a fun/pleasant dining experience!

we came as tourists to NY and wanted to eat at wolfgang's to celebrate our journey. unfortunately we didn't know that you are confronted to vaccumcleaner-sellers instead of waiters in an restorant... if you hire a new crew to serve the people, wolgang's can become a great place to spend an evening (with the right budget of course)

The problem with Wolfgang's is not its pushy waiters, or its loud clientele; it's the mediocre steak. And by mediocre, I mean a rather fatty porterhouse (cooked as ordered) that smells great, looks great, but, sadly, lacks in flavor. It does have texture, though, and maybe we chanced upon a bad cut of meat, but I wouldn't really go back there for steak. My canadian bacon (for appetizer) was way too fatty, and the Wolfgang's salad was nothing too exciting. The restaurant is more for bigger parties, who are there to outdo other loud guests, definitely not for a couples night out, unless you plan on impressing your significant other by yelling to the waiter to make yourself heard.

Like others, I had ordered medium and got well done and the meat is often very tough. The staff is just plain rude and 45 min delays are commonplace. They were like real estate brokers during the boom: Arrogant. But times are changing...

I read most of the reviews and thought that i was going to a first class steakhouse. Instead, I found mediocre food, hidden lunch menus (in hopes that we order from the dinner menu. The steaks we ordered were nothing special, mine was supposed to be medium coocked but was served well done. the servers fails to mention that the meat is served with mashed potatoes and spinach and cause the guest to order side dishes they can't eat.... In short, it felt like we were there to be plundered (in a way). T%o top it all off, they charged us for a cappucino we never ordered (for 2 instead of the 1 we ordered). Will we go there again..... of course not, nor will we recommend the place to our friends.

I've been to Wolfgang's a few times now, and always find the food delicious. The staff, and particularly the hostess are rude though. I had a 7pm reservation last week and was not sat until 7:45. The hostess told me "We can't predict the future" and then went back to talking to a co-working who was texting furiously while customers were all waiting for their tables. No offer of anything to make up for this... This would be okay if it was the only time it happened, if it was a one-off thing, but it wasn't. Wolfgang's did the same thing to us last time we were there...

Despite a reservation, they made our party wait 50 minutes without even offering the senior member of the group (who was clearly unhealthy) a chair. They allowed a party of loud drunken singers to continue to disrupt all other diners and when we complained they just ignored our complaints. Later we called the owner and still not even an attempt to make nice to a large customer.
