Pickup
Food came quickly and was pretty good, but the prices here are pretty far off. A cheeseburger is around $18.

Found my new Favorite Steakhouse
Treated by my best friends for a milestone birthday. Friendly greeting sets the atmosphere before you check your coat. Cozy dining room affect even if it enough to fit a large crowd. The service was the best of any place I've ever eaten. But on the line that's dotted - the steak was too die for. We had the steak for three and for two (both porterhouse cuts). Very tender, and cooked to perfection (e.g., 1/3 of my steak was medium rare, the reaminder medium). We shared various side dishes and appetizers -all exemplary. I can attest that their Cabernet & Port wine selection was awesome. Lastly, the chocolate mousse cake with Wolfgang's homemade whipped cream was well-worth the breaking of my caloric ceiling I promised myself. Del Frisco's, Sparks, Ruth, Morton, all are good, but Wolfgang's is in a class by itself. I cannot wait to go back to Wolfgang's Tribeca.

Best steak in town!
Wolfgang's in TriBeCa has the most consistently and perfectly aged steaks in NY. I've been to Luger's, Ben and Jack's, etc., but this place wins hands down for service and quality. The wine list has a few well priced options (not many, as is to be expected in NYC), and the appetizers and desserts are good too.

Greats Steaks
Puzzled by the poor reviews. Could not asked for a better dinner. both food & service were great. Ordered Steak for 3 could have easily fed 4 +. Perfectly cooked (rare) tender, delicious. No complaints at all. Will be back

I'm shocked by the negative reviews
I've frequented New York steakhouses for the past 25 years. I'm stunned at the negative reviews I'm seeing for Wolfgang's -- so much so that I'm writing my first review on this site. For years (decades), I considered Peter Luger's to be the top steakhouse. But, for the past two years or more, I believe Wolfgang's has supplanted Luger's. This is all a matter of taste, of course, particularly if you're not a fan of porterhouse. And any restaurant is capable of a bad night. But, by and large, if you're a steak fan, I can't fathom not liking Wolfgang's -- unless you're an out-of-towner suffering from (understandable) sticker shock or used to more...genteel waiters.

Can't Get a Burger Right
Like another reviewer said, they can't seem to cook meat. Tried to have a burger there yesterday, cooked "medium". First burger came out so well done it was dry and hard like a hockey puck. Second one was so rare it was uncooked. We complained to the manager, who said we should send an email to the website so "they" know. Who is "they" when you're the manager? At that point, sadly, we cut our losses and left.

Does NOT Disappoint
I went with a friend of mine for the third time and the porterhouse for 2 was mouth watering. The shrimp cocktail was amazing, the bacon sublime, the spinach, very easily enough for 2, terrific. I could not think of a better dining experience and am going with my wife on Christmas night and know that I can rely upon receiving a great dinner.
