After reading good reviews, I decided to come here with my boss and another higher-up - nobody liked it and my restaurant-picker reputation is ruined! W&L is featuring mediocre food from appetizers to desserts, really bad steaks, unattentive service, and cheap surroundings - all at $$$$ prices. What am I missing?

Excellent steak and chicken and best Kosher restaurant in Manhattan.

In from Paris and looking for something familiar...great steaks and wine and loved the music! A definite MUST!

i work 2 blocks from w&l at an office with 70 some odd people. w&l is everyones favorite. the food is delicious. definitely best hamburger (medium with fried onions) ive ever tasted. now that they have an in house pastry chef the desserts are great too. chocolate ganache, lemon tart, my gawd.

i have been consistently impressed with the level of sustained excellence at Wolf & Lamb. both as a walk in customer and for their catered events. it is always a very enjoyable experience.

As a Jew, I have to assume that none of the people who wrote stellar reviews for this place had been in a good non-kosher steakhouse. I can't think of any other explanation to explain good marks… For those who have been to good steakhouses, just say "no" - think of a cross between Outback Steakhouse and 2nd Ave Deli but at Smith&Wolenski prices, simply doesn't make sense: mediocre steaks in a neighborhood-joint environment at top steakhouse moneys
