Not recommended
Once again, a huge gap between the reviews and the experience. We started with the tuna tartar, which was absolutely fantastic. The members of our group ordered the roasted Provencal chicken, which was adequate, and 2 rare Illinois rib eyes (8 oz and 12 oz). The sides were garlic mash potatoes (watery and no trace of garlic) and grilled asparagus (seriously - 10 bucks for 10 aparagus???). The 12 oz steak was cooked perfectly and exactly what one would expect. The 8 oz steak however was a SCHANDE. The outer color was more grey than seared, the inside was medium and the taste was that of a piece of meat that had been in the freezer too long and flash thawed. After complaining about the quality of the meat (which the absolutely lovely waitress agreed didn't look right) we were provided with another steak that had all the same lousy attributes of the first. We ultimately shared the 12 oz and wound up paying 32 dollars for a steak that was subpar and could not be eaten. This dining experience was insulting and the insult appeared to be somewhat deliberate. To quote another reviewer "Don't gosha if you're not kosher"...

Great Steaks!
We ate at W&L a few weeks ago and had a great experience. Our server was helpful and knowledgeable and guided us through the ample wine list. Tuna Tartar was light and well seasoned, the Dry Aged Ribeye was wonderful and flavorful. Always go for the pastry chefs specials, the berry crumble was fabulous!

Dissapointed
Typically I do not leave a review, but in this case felt that I had to. Though I was taken back a bit on some of the prices, I still decided to give it a try and had food delivered. Let me just say paying $22 for a salad that was sub par is a total waste. The salad itself is nothing special, basically something you can get at a typical NY deli. I also ordered matzo ball soup and it was just awful. I mean, the matzo ball was not even cooked all the way and was raw in the middle. I know its not that hard to cook matzo balls and for $8 you would think it would be cooked. In general, the value and food quality do not match up. If my total order was under $25, I would probably just leave this alone and not bother reviewing and just not order from them anymore, but because total order was over $50 for food that was below sub par, I needed to leave this review. So eat at your own expense, but I suggest to pass and get your order from someone else.

Pushy
My wife and I thought the quality of the food here was fine (at times the flavours were delicious), even if it was not as good as the price suggested. We had a pleasant conversation with the owner afterwards, but the service was very pushy - a constant attempt to persuade us to save room for the dessert, remember the delicious dessert etc etc.
