    Smelly Restaurant

There is something very negative about the restaurant. I went for a business lunch and as soon as I came back to the office everybody was complaining about the way I smelled. I felt like as if I had gone to the kitchen and I fried the food myself. I had to take my coat to the dry cleaner to remove the smell.

    Great Experience!

We tried this great Kosher Steakhouse recently. The ambiance is warm and inviting. The staff were friendly and even offered a complimentary dessert. The food was fresh, tasty and well prepared....we thanked the chef personally as they have an open kitchen. The place isn't cheap but for midtown and kosher I rate them a good bang for your buck.

    not good at all

I came in here a week ago and had a very disappointing meal. Maybe I am just crazy, but the fact that everyone is giving this place high marks is beyond me. The food was mediocre at best, none of our meats were cooked properly and the man behind the counter was sitting at a TABLE chatting with his friends the whole night instead of helping my party with our many meal mistakes. The only redeeming part of this experience were the all-blonde wait staff who were incredibly friendly despite the fact that they seemed to be overworked due to the lack of management.

    loved it

My brother and I come to W&L when we were looking for a relaxing evening with delicious food and we have always gone home happy. The food is superb, the service is generally top-notch and the ambience is comfortable yet elegant. the food took a while to come out of the kitchen but it was well worth the wait. the bread that they recently started giving is burnt. i really miss the garlik bread that they used to searve. I highly recommend the t-bone (medium well) and the pepper crusted filet (medium) which was kind of small for the price.

    wow

ordered the most expensive filet, smallest piece of meat i've ever seen and overcooked. their bread basket was full of burnt (yes BURNT) bread and when i told the waitress, her response was - oh. pasta was cold with hot marinanra sauce poured on it (frozen pasta??). to top it off, the place was smoky (open grill) the entire time we were in there. i eat out a lot and have not had a meal like this in a while.

    Great Solid Choice!

sent here by my concierge and was very happy with the recommendation. Familiar food with a twist. I tried a peppercorn filet and a fantastic lemon tart for dessert. The service was friendly and the mood very mellow. I will be back!
