    New York Cheesesteak Mecca

This place has the best cheesesteak in the city hands down. Wings are also awesome, but be warned, the Krazy sauce is beyond spicy. You will cry and sweat. I don't care who you are. Atmosphere is laid back. Beer is cheap and plentiful.

    uhhh

I don't know how someone is saying this is the best sausage sandwich in NY when it looks like dog food, and tastes that way as well. The only good part about Wogies is the fries. But the last time I got the cheese on the side, it was like bright orange water. I tried to dip a fry in it and it dripped all over my table.

    Awesome!!

We stopped in Wogies for cheesesteaks and beers. We loved the environment. Great Philly style corner bar with happy people. The food was great and so was the service. Beers for 3 and 4 bucks and cheap hoagies. Can't beat it! The bread is great! So far we have been there twice and will be back there again soon. Definitely check it out. You'll love the atmosphere and leave there very full.

    decent at best

the food was alright.. very below par.. considering that it received such good reviews.. my friend and i both got the classic cheese steak.. wiz-wid.. and we were both disappointed.. other items in the menu might be better.. not enough flavor in the meat.. the bread was good though.. and i guess it's unfair to compare it to pat's, but that is really what a good cheesteak is supposed to taste like..

    Your personal Cheers

As a relative newcomer to living in New York I sometimes find myself lost, not for a cool or new place to drink, but for a place that epitomizes what a bar should be. Wogies is that place for me. It's a place to relax, laugh, and cheer for my beloved Eagles. This is a bar with solid food, great drink, and ever better people. From my countless hours spent there I have encountered all types of people. From bankers, to bartenders, to travelers, to the who knows what. And the great part about it is that Wogies creates that place where everyone can sit back, have a Yeungling and a cheesesteak, and get stupid. So do yourself a favor and stop by. Once you are there you will be hooked. And if not the worst thing that will happen is you go in have a beer and meet some good people and get out of there with out hurting your wallet.

Best cheesesteak in New York hands down.

That's it. The review says it all. End of story. If you haven't had a cheesesteak at Wogie's then you're still not having the real cheesesteak experience Wogie's offers. Ask for the krazy hot sauce. Mmmmmm.

    Don't bother...

Wogies is a down at heel bar with almost no decoration on the white(ish) walls some booth tables. I was surprised to find a full bar and virtually empty tables until we ate the food.... We came for the cheesesteak and got a sad and small mound of meat that looked like it has already been chewed with a thin layer of cheese- very unimpressed. The roll was good though. Also got the wings which were adequate but dry as they had been cooked and refried. Beer also came in those thick glasses that makes the volume of beer actually quite small.
