Staff
Staff is miserable. Bartenders and managers are not great. Servers not bad. All that aside, cheesesteaks are decent.

Nasty Bar staff
We stopped in for a beer after the Phillies got beaten by the Yankees. A friend told us this was a "Philly" bar. The only thing Philly about it was a dirty old baseball cap on a light. From the outside it looked like a typical under 30 blackberry viewing crowd but we went in and sat at the empty bar. The first bartender was sort of friendly and poured our beers. The second bartender came over and started to mix a cocktail in front of us. Well she had such a sour look on her face my buddy said jokingly "you don't look like you enjoy your job" The 23 year old turned to him and said F* you. Which in turn set my buddy off saying "hey do you speak to all of your customers that way?" Again she said it. This is one really nasty place that is not worth spendign any time or money at. We downed our drinks and headed across the street to Fiddlesticks where we were greeted by a very friendly bar staff and had a wonderful evening. If I were you and wanted some Philly food, take the train south and head for the real thing an hour away. This place blows big time.

Get your grease on
(in a good way!) The food is totally unhealthy but totally delicious. Embrace the steak sandwich with pepperoni and fried mozzerella balls, wash it back with a $3 Yuengling, and have a fantastic time watching your favorite Phillies sports team. I agree that the sandwiches are nothing to write home about, but that's not the point - get some "garbage bread" (which is actually quite delicious), have a few beers, and enjoy the Phillitastic ambiance. It's a gem!

OK
The cheesesteak was tasty but there was not much meat. The bartender was nice but 4 of about 7 stools at the bar were taken by friends & family of the owner! Whatever happened to the paying customer?

Water in the desert
For those of you looking for a great cheesesteak, this is not the place. This is an alright cheesesteak, the fries are good and wings are not bad. But this is New York. Good luck finding a stromboli, let alone a cheesesteak. There's nothing of the sort here, and Wogie's is probably about it. Plus they deliver. For those comparing to Pat's and Geno's - those are what we call in Philly "tourist attractions", but are still good. Nevertheless, Wogie's serves this need well, and is without competition in the West Village.

Makes me feel at home!
I lived in Philly for a large part of my life and next to hanging at places like Pat's, Jim's, Tattood Mom, Mad River, and Misconduct Tavern this is as close as it gets. If you want a real steaks, beers, prices, and people look no further.

New York Cheesesteak Mecca
This place has the best cheesesteak in the city hands down. Wings are also awesome, but be warned, the Krazy sauce is beyond spicy. You will cry and sweat. I don't care who you are. Atmosphere is laid back. Beer is cheap and plentiful.
