ok, but weird service
the food was good enough (not amazing), although the seating was a bit cramped. we thought it was definitely pretty tacky when the waitress told us that the tip wasn't included in the amount when handing us our bill. we used a gift certificate, and i was a waitress, but come on! you just don't say anything.

LOVE THIS PLACE!
Love the wine, love the flatbreads, love the outdoor heaters. Great to sit and people watch. They are very nice there as well. I go early (they open at 3) and have the whole place to myself. The only thing I don't care for is the crowd that hangs out there in the evenings so I avoid them. It really is not that expensive compared to other wine bars. I bring a friend and split a bottle and a flatbread. I would avoid the crostini though. Too small.

GREAT FIND
Above par atmosphere and service for the area. Great selection of wines. Perfect for a stop before or after dinner.

bummer
I always go back to the place because it's in my neighborhood and the wine is good. But I'm also each time disappointed and stunned by the size of the servings of wine. Two sips and its gone. Tha makes an otherwise nice bar way too expensive. Won't be going back too soon.

Excellent Wine List and Snacks
At last! we found a winebar with a great and afforadable winelist and excellent wine snackkies to complement them. No attitude, attractive and very relaxed place with the wines displayed very nicely along one wall. (Although I do wish they had lit up their candles at 3:00pm on a Saturday afternoon - it would have cheered the place up far more) Cool little open flame open oven in back where they turnout very large (enough for two) pizza like delicious flatbread topped with the best quality cheese and cured meats, and fig compote etc. Even have one with truffle oil. Compared to some of the upper east side "winebars" around 75th -78th street with their laughable limited and overpriced wine choices this place is a gem and the real thing. Congratulations Winebar! You are doing a fine job!

Love this place
The food you'll find there is very tasty, makes the whole wine tasting experience even better. The staff is friendly and accomodating. It is my place of choice whenever i need a nice relaxing slow paste night out. The wine selection is a huge plus. The atmosphere is warm and confortable. I think i will become a regular customer !!!! A+

Needs more than 10 minutes to enjoy wine
Went to winebar last week for my birthday, as a return customer never disapointed, it feels good to see familiar waiter's faces ,go there, have fun , nice decor and great food and music, very romantic, relax and take your time and enjoy your wine, but don't be like the last reviewer to drink your wine in ten minutes ,wine is not a soda, but, anyway you do that and you have a seriuos drinking problem , but winebar is about great wines and for seriuos wine drinkers who appreciate wines , good food and relax atmosphere, i'll come back
