i am from NC so bbq is close to my heart. i really, really, really like this place. everyone at my table ordered something different and we were all delightfully covered in bbq sauce. it was a friday night so the place was really crowded but the service was excellent. i will definitely be back here.

This restaurant has a great atmosphere and a great bar.. The chili was delicious as was the sausages...Ribs are okay. ..But every rib place has to have a really good Mac & Cheese...It was so disappointing...very similar to out of the box in consistency and taste...There is no taste to it and the people next to us agreed... I hope someone reads this from the restaurant so they can tell the chef its just not good ... Blue Smoke's mac is wonderful...

We had the fattiest beef short rib totally inedible. Mac and cheese had little flavor. Pathetic chopped salad. Decent chili. Was hoping for a winner in the neighborhood, but was really disappointed.

I went on a Wednesday night and it was well worth the half hour wait. The wings were amazing. The Jalapeno bottle caps were off the hook! Great [select]ion of sides. Unbelievable service - quick, friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the baby back ribs most because I prefer saucy ribs but the other ribs are good as well, especially because the [select]ion of sauces at the table are great.

I was skeptical at first. I'm a big fan of BBQ and I was sure that Wildwood would let me down. I was wrong. The baby back ribs were oustanding! The special hamburger with the bacon and onions was the finest hamburger I have ever eaten. I think the other reviewers missed something. They make their own salt and vinegar potato chips! The burnt ends and baked beans made everyone at our table happy! i can't wait to go back and take my friends!

The first mistake we made was going here on opening weekend... The staff was completely unprepared to handle the volume, and the restaurant was, by 9:30, out of brisket and short ribs - staples that any self-respecting BBQ establishment would never run out of. Furthermore, it took forever to get anything - with the manager often the one bringing us our beers. That's fine, but it was an indicator of just how hopelessly disorganized they were. The food ranged from excellent (the buffalo wings), to decent (the spare ribs), to subpar (the pulled pork and lamb ribs). The buffalo wings were fantastic. Until they get things figured out, skip dinner, sit at the bar, and have these and a choice a brew from their extensive and impressive list. An indicator of properly cooked ribs is an incredible tenderness - and these ribs weren't even close. The lamb ribs had obviously been hastily prepared, as there was a trermendous amount of fat that would have been rendered out with proper slow-cooking. The pulled pork was simply mediocre - which, quite frankly, is inexcusable. Finally, our reservation was at 8:15 - we didn't sit until 9, and didn't get out of the restaurant until 11:30. Come on, this is a BBQ joint, not Nobu. We were appropriately compensated for our trouble, and this showed a great deal of honor on the part of the management. Even so, give them a couple months to sort things out.

We went there last week and had a sub-par experience- the atmosphere is awesome, but the food- not so much. Although the ribs were actually quite good, the sides were tiny and tasteless- how can anyone screw up mac and cheese? Also- while our waitress was personable, she was obviously trained in the art of relentless upselling- a practice that annoys me to no end- suggestions are welcomed, but schlepping add ons ("Would you like cornbread for the table? Would you like to add sausage to your pulled pork sandwich? No and no... just two examples of many). Also, when I requested extra pickles with my sandwich, i was told that it was a $3 upcharge- PLEASE!!
