    Do Not Recommend for Delivery

I was incredibly underwhelmed after being delivered my $100 dinner. The presentation was disgraceful, throwing a "Lamb Rib" in a box and another box with the "Short Ribs" that were too fatty to eat. I would have sent the order back if I was eating in the restaurant. They should be ashamed of themselves. I ate in the restaurant a few weeks ago, and despite the poor service, thought the food was pretty good. In contrast, I would opt out of getting the food delivered.

    Fun atmosphere and great food!

Tried several restaurants on a recent trip to NYC. This was by far one of the better ones. The food was authentic BQ the way it was meant to be cooked. The selection of bourbons were the best anywhere which went great with the true BQ flavor of Wildwood. Great place will visit again.

    An Incredible Disappointment

The grilled chicken did not taste fresh it was if it had been prepared a few days prior and then left out on a counter at room temperature the potato chips that accompanied the sandwich were crushed to smithereens clearly someone had emptied out the bottom of the bag onto the plate. The side of baked beans was floating in an excess of watered-down sauce way too much liquid to lend any substance to the dish. But the biggest insult was eight, cold, overly cooked asparagus spears that were way past their prime at a cost of $8! ... That's $1 per asparagus. The manager gets credit for trying to rectify the situation and have the kitchen completely redo everything, but I passed on this offer. It's very clear from the pricing, poor quality of ingredients, sloppy presentation, and tiny portions that this restaurant lacks basic integrity.

    Tasty BBQ

This place has great BBQ. I like the three little piggy plate with mac and cheese and fries. It's enough food to share wiht a friend.

    awesome awesome awesome

Wildwood BBQ was awesome. We went with a group of 8 and every single person licked their plate clean. Great prices, good beer selection and a great atmosphere.

    disappointment

Great place to go if: you don't mind waiting 20 minutes for drinks, want your food in small portions with very sugary preparations, want the waiter to bus your table while you're stll eating (fork in hand eating and the plate was taken away!) , tables that are so close tht other diners are bumping your arms while you eat, and a noise level that precludes any conversation, and a bill that makes you think about a second mortgage!. There are so many good places for BBQ in New York now that you can certainly skip this one..

    Overpriced..

Portions are small, food is decent, price tag is high....if you are really into bbq, try it to satisfy your curiosity. Other than that, you'd be wasting your time and money.
