I don't think I've ever had better vegetarian food.

This place is great for vegetarians who still want the tastes and textures of non-veg food. You must try them soon!!!

The food is great, value good, but getting it delivered is a major pain. Their listed $8 minimum is set aside if they just don't want to deliver to your area (lower financial district). Delivery time is slow. Service staff are not particularly helpful, nor are they particularly polite. I'd recommend as a dine-in place only.

I had never heard of this place and they just opened a new location on Bedford Ave in Williamsburg. Its amazing! Everything I wanted. They have only been open a week and I have already eaten here twice. The service was the best Ive had in the neighborhood for such an affordable restaurant. The lunch specials are a steal and Im definately going to order lunch to my work ALL the time. The sweet and sour soy satisfies all those cravings without the meat!! The smoked teriaki soy was amazing, too. Unfortunately they were out of the peanut butter bomb dessert(makes me want to try it even more) but the mango sorbet is to die for! A must for any vegetarian who is sick of the flavorless vegetarian offerings in the hood.

I went here for lunch twice. Their lunch specials are great - it's an entree, side salad or miso soup, small spring roll, brown rice and piece of baked squash for about $8. The salad and dressing (fresh carrot ginger) is great, and the serving of the soup and salad is a good size (not a teeny cup). I had the mango soy protein and thought it was delicious - lots of crunchy fresh veggies and tasty sauce. I also had the sweet & sour sesame soy protein which came with fresh steamed broccoli. I also had coffee and dessert - their coffee is great and the black sesame and ginger ice cream were delicious. I found the waittress to be friendly and attentive on both occasions and did not feel rushed. I agree with the other reviewer that their A/C is not powerful and it was warm, but I was OK.

The first time I went to Wild Ginger was with my boyfriend and the food was good and the service was tolerable. A friend was leaving for the Navy and I planned a gathering for 16 people. Everyone is a vegetarian and when we got there, on the hottest day in NYC (the temp was over 100 during the day), there was no air. When I asked the waitress/hostess if they can turn up the AC, she said it is on and she can get me some ice water. We had no choice but to stay because where can we find another restuarant at that time to sit 16 people? The food was good but we were so hot most of us did not have an appetite and was drinking ice water more then eating. The waitress and waiter did their job but was not friendly...not once did they come by our table (and we took up half the resturant since it is a small space) to check on us and too see if we needed anything. I would go back but only during the winter.

Indeed the food is quite delicious but the service really just kills it. It's fast, but unfortunately also rushed. You really feel like you're eating in a fast food joint. I'd only recommend this place for its delicious yet oily food, and very quick quick service.
