    Not a Top Chef

Really if Tom C. was in the running with this place he so would be canned! How about some fresh ingredients you boast about!

    Glorifiedwich

I don't care how often Chef Colicchio tells people that his ingredients are fresh and yada yada, this is one of the most glorified and overrated chain restaurants in NYC. The sandwiches are just OK, the salads are large enough only for someone who recently had gastric bypass. $12-14 dollars will get you a sandwich, a drink, and perhaps a bag of chips or a dry 1x1 inch brownie which you're better of baking in your easy-bake oven. I'm convinced that people come here because its Colicchio's. In fact, that's the only reason why I stepped in the place myself because I am a huge fan of his...but absolutely not these places.

When people want to lunch in SoHo...

I usually take them here. Apparently, not all 'wichcrafts are d equal, according to other reviewers, but I go to the sit-down place on 8th and B'way, and have enjoyed it every time. The prices are a touch steep for the size of the servings, but a) the food is great, and b) It's a Tom Colicchio restaurant. Not surprising. They've had a few hit-and-misses with their side orders, but every sandwich I've eaten was wonderful. Big fan of the white anchovy sandwich and the fontina with black trumpet mushrooms. Also, the delivery for the 8th street location is LIGHTNING FAST. My bosses order it all the time and are shocked at how quickly the orders get here.

    Great for Company Lunch

I order from here often for my companies lunches. It is super easy to order online and just as easy to order by phone. The phone service is amazing. They get the orders correct and on time, everytime. Even with huge orders every item shows up. You can't say that for many resturants in this area. P.S. Their cookies are to die for.

    Who could ask for more

If you're looking for a great, yes, great sandwich anytime of day, or some delicious pastries, or even just a simple cup of coffee, this is the place. Though the lines can get long during the busy times, this is simply a testament to what those people waiting in line already know. That the wait is worth it. And if you think it is pricey, then you have simply been recalling the early 90's. In the middle of NYC, this is as good a deal you can find. Even a slice of pizza is pushing 2.50. For a great selection, there is not a single sandwich priced above 10. The staff is friendly, the music is hip and not dreary, and the crowd sitting upstairs will most likely move out for you to find a table before your sandwich is ready (which they will bring to you!). They are always going above and beyond to make you happy. I think I'm gonna go there every day for lunch. And if not, I'll certainly get their free delivery to bring me a pastrami sandwich with some of those oatmeal creamwiches. They always say hi when I come in. It doesn't hurt to be a regular there. Thanks 'wichcraft!

    Not worth your money

The restaurant's name is the only clever creation under their belt. The bread is not good, it's over-priced, the music choices are horrible...and the biggest reason not to go: there's plenty of fantastic places nearby in this area. Sorry 'wichcraft, maybe you'll shape up, but until then, you aren't casting a spell on me.

    Frequent Flyer Card

We ordered for delivery an Office Lunch. We tried to put it on their frequent flyer card which the Order supervisor told me we could not do, because I needed announce my card prior to placing my order. They have only one stamp and they delivery person didn't have it with her. Then she said I would have to have separate cards for each sandwich, but nowhere do they tell you that nor ask if we had a frequent flyer card prior to taking our order. The supervisor seemed she made up the rules as she went along. I think they are good sandwiches, but way overpriced.
