    Lively atmosphere, service needs work.

Dined here on Saturday night, full house. The food was delicious, apps were rather salty but overall a good meal. The servers are enthusiastic & nice, which almost makes up for the complete lack of organization. We got drinks we didn't order, didn't get drinks we actually ordered, and the lag between courses was rather long. All in all a fun night though, might just need to work out the opening kinks. Oh and perhaps regulate the temperature. It went from totally boiling to completely freezing with vents blowing like crazy every five minutes.

    New neighborhood staple

Went to Whitehall on Friday night for a 8pm reservation--arrived 15 mins early and seated immediately. (ps dont believe opentables availability--call instead) Had a great cool vibe and seemed packed but there were a couple tables in the back open throughout the evening. The waitstaff was friendly and efficient (if a little too quick to snatch away my cocktail) and the food was pretty solid and just novel enough. Got the fried squid and sausage, and chicken liver to start (the former was great, the latter a little cat food-y). For mains, I got the whitehall burger (yum) and my date the rabbit special with mushy peas (also great). Finished with the apple Charlotte for two which may have been the highlight! All in all a great experience and a welcome addition to the hood. We'll be back!!
