    Breakfast

We thought we would venture out for an American dining experience and stumbled across this 24 hour diner. The service was great and the owner had a pride about his business. Definitely recommend!

    Best breakfast

Classic diner - fast, friendly, simple menu done really well. Good for people-watching as well as ace French toast and bacon. A real slice of NY life. Well done, chaps

I live for a good diner...

Went looking for a breakfast joint in Times Square. A guy told me about the Westway Diner down around the corner. The guy was right! Good Food Fast! Great Service. The waiter hit my coffee cup the moment I needed a refill. At the end, I cashed out and got change back. It's my new Secret Spot whenever I'm in New York!

    Review from a regular

I eat out often, and I've eaten at many of the best restaurants that New York City has to offer for the last 25 years. What I expect when I'm at a diner is cleanliness, speed, good friendly service and the ability to create my meal just as I like it; Westway gives you all that and much much more. I can't think of any other place in all of New York where you can order up just about anything you want 24 hours a day 365 days a year. Over the years, I've gotten to know the owners and the waiters and they are great people too. Now, when I am at a four (4) star French restaurant for example, I expect the chef to reveal his/her culinary excellence to me. I sit back and let the meal happen to me. Now, how do you know you are at an amazing restaurant? One Rule: There is never, ever, ever, a salt or pepper shaker on the table. If you haven't had that kind of experience please seek it out for yourselves - amazing!! All other dining situations from diner to popular Italian cuisine must be experienced in there context. Diner's have cooks, not chefs. So, to all you nay-sayers, if you want a four star experience at a diner, I'm afraid you just don't get what a great diner is all about. Lets rehash this! Note: a diner is cleanliness, speed, good friendly service and the ability to create your own meal just as you like it; Westway gives you all that and much much more 24 hours a day 365 days a years - snow storms and all. Go enjoy yourselves, and say hi one of the hardest working staffs you'll ever meet!
