    so fresh.

There's frequently a wait to get a table in this rather small place, but it's worth it to stick it out. Everything is incredibly fresh, and there isn't a bad thing on the menu, but the highlights are definitely the corn on the cob, mixed berry cobbler, and any of the market-fresh vegetable sides, especially the pesto mashed potatoes and sweet potato fries. All in all, if you want simply good food in a simple environment, Westville is pretty tough to beat.

    Best ingredients

This defines hole-in-the-wall, but their food is fantastic. They cook some amazing vegetables, and their meat dishes are great, too. They could use a better beer selection, but that's really the only complaint (oh, it goes without saying that it would be nice if they moved to a different location with space for more than five tables).

    highly recommended

Very friendly and hospitable staff in a very well organized small cozy old West Village setting. Seating on the comfortable side of borderline cozy/crowded. I now know why the place was virtually filled by 6:30 in the middle of the week. Food perfectly seasoned (no need for any of the condiments brought to the table) and presented attractively. Specifics: sweet potato fries were thin and wonderfully textured and flavored, with no oily reminders. Extremely tasty and enjoyable! Salad with food was tender leaves full with balsamic vinegar flavor, but not wet!

    Yumm

My husband and I ate here on our honeymoon in September. It was delicious. The bathroom is a little weird....being in the kitchen with a sliding door...that did not quite shut.

    Great, tasty veggie options.

I've been going here for a few years and always had a nice experience. I actually haven't tried their fries or burgers (I'm actually surprised to see them in the description here), but they have a really nice selection of fresh veggie sides and usually a fish special or two. I always end up with a great vegetarian meal here, sometimes just combining several of the sides. Service has been perfectly nice, but it is a little cramped in there. To get to the bathroom you have to walk through the tiny kitchen and duck flames and hot plates. Definitely recommended, but go before you leave the house if you know what I mean.

    A Good Staple

I've been to Westville a few times now and it's consistently good. Nothing spectacular - but good. The service is typically really great, and the staff is so friendly. Definitely recommended, but don't expect to be "wowed".

not what it used to be

I live close by and this used to be a staple, but lately the food has changed. the fries are not the same delicious ones they used to be, the veggie burger was like a hockey puck! What happened to the Westville we all used to love?
