I really don't understand the negative reviews. I order in all the time from this place, and the food is very good. When we went to eat there last weekend, it was lovely. All the windows were open, and the breeze was coming in. Service was without any flaws. We enjoyed ourselves and ate every speck of food on the plate. My boyfriend is a chef, and he loved it. If you don't like it here, please don't come and ruin it for the rest of us who think it's the perfect neighborhood place.

After giving it a pass for months now (really, just to let it work out any kinks since it only opened relatively recently) we tried it out last weekend. The menu is really pretty ordinary "comfort food" type stuff; nothing to write home about - especially if you can make this kind of food (macaroni and cheese with bacon) at home - We normally go out to have something we CAN'T or WON'T make at home. Westville East strikes us, therefore, as out of place in the very funky, tasty East Village. The service was poor, all around. Wouldn't recommend or go back.

My boyfriend and I went here when it first opened and now we eat at or order Westville at least once a week They are super friendly in person and even over the phone. They always take time to read their list of their specials over the phone which is quite considerate! Our favorites are the maket specials they have which consists of an ever changing selection of vegetables, some of the best being soy glazed green beans, pesto mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, artichokes dusted with parmesean, and bok choy. Its really nice to be able to order a selection of 4 vegetables for $13 and have it delivered! Yummy food, good prices, wonderful and quick service! Highly recommended!

This is the second attempt for Westville to enter the East Village. After failing the first time due to their small space they have moved into a much larger venue. Vegetarians rejoice or at least non-meat eaters with Market Selections that contain several different vegetable selections. At the moment it is BYOB. The Smoky Mac and Cheese was very good (add the Bacon) but it not Smac. Hamburger was good, Salmon tasty, in my three visits I would say I had nothing bad, tasting at least eight different items. What is bad is the attitude. On my third visit we had a party of three and they insisted on sitting us on a Two Top table when there were several other Four Tops and other two tops available. A two top table get crowed enough with your plate and several smaller plates from the Market menu I couldn’t not imagine what three people sitting at small table would be like. The Staff and Manager insisted that we could only have that table, when the restaurant was fairly empty. The experience would have been terrible and unacceptable, not to mention I’m not sure where all the plates would fit. Would I go back, no. There are so many places in the City, why deal with the attitude. Go back to the West Village your kind is not wanted here.

I love westville in the west village and always have had a great experience there (other than the wait.) So I decided to give Westville East a try and to my surprise, was thoroughly disappointed. The service was very poor. Sat at a dirty table, had to ask for a glass of water twice (shouldn't that be automatic anyway?), they were out of several of their specials, the table next to us kept getting the wrong orders handed to them, our waitress just seemed to totally forget all about us after we got our food, and it took us 20 minutes to get the check/pay/get change. The food was good but not worth all the hassle.

The food here is fine and somewhat inexpensive, but the service is not good. My friends and i went here and the waitress was distracted and rude. She brought us the wrong dishes, after we'd been waiting outside for 30 minutes for a table. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We love, LOVE, Westville...though we do believe the one in the east village should be called Eastville, but that is neither here nor there. Awesome fresh food. Delicious vegetables. And teh waiter is worth the price of admission. We believe him to be a character from a John Hughes movie. Please keep it on the dl, because we do not want our favorite spot blown up. One love. C.
