I am a pretty easy going, polite customer. The manager, on the other hand, is a complete jerk. I was there one night with 2 friends, the 3 of us were seated at a table for 4 (2 2-tops put together). About every 10 minutes he came over to us, to bother us and tell us if someone else came in who needed a table, the 3 of us would have to squeeze at one table for 2. Meanwhile, there were empty tables in the restaurant. We said fine, but he kept coming over and rudely saying this. I never complain about service, but he needs to get a clue. It ruined our meal. It's a shame, the food is pretty good.

Good burgers, good selection of side dishes. I mostly come here for lunch and the service is always very friendly. recommended.

I blame westville in one thing, I can`t enjoy a steak sandwich anywhere else anymore. the cut is exellent, the baguette is crispy and the grilled onions are delicious. The only problem I have with their delivery is that their delivery guys almost never carry a pen, and so do I...

Got charged for food that I did not get, and got attitude when I called and attempted to have mistake fixed. Though the food is tasty, I recommend eating in the restaurant - avoid delivery at all costs.

The food is great - service is not. Perhaps the worst Ive experienced and the guy on the phone who takes delivery orders has the worst attitude of all...

For someone who lived in the east village for over 10 years I have already seen most kinds of restaurant rise and fall here. I sure hope that this restaurant is here to stay. westville east is just the best place for people who want to have a fresh yummi meal without spending their daily income on it. I eat there quit often, sure they do have some points to improve, but who doesn`t? I really dont understand the people who complain about thier food in 1000 words? open your eyes and see that this food is the closest thing we have in the neighborhood to a real homey american food. I am a proud customer and a prouder american.

In tough economic times, I think it's really important to please your customers and earn their loyalty. While I will say I think the food at Westville East IS incredible, and the servers and bartenders are always very friendly and kind, they have left a bad taste in my mouth with their delivery service, and I will not be returning...My last 3 take out orders have been wrong, and I have said nothing. But today I felt like correcting this. I ordered a Veggie Burger with tomato and lettuce, fries and a salad. I did not receive the tomato and lettuce and the fries were missing as well. The delivery guy seemed reluctant to fix this (apparently 5 bucks on 13 is not enough), so I marched down the block to do it myself. The young man who took my order on the phone not only got in my face, but also made me feel like a complete moron by asking me whether I wanted a $2 salad or $6 salad... he didn't ask during the rushed phone order, but had he, I could easily have specified. The manager then pulled him aside and I could hear them arguing. Great. I chalked this all up to miscommunication, got it fixed and headed back home. When I checked to see if the lettuce and tomato was on the burger, I didn't see it, so I turned around, and took the order back. I was pretty annoyed, dropped the food and left. I got a voicemail a few minutes later from the manager saying it was exactly as I ordered it and the L&T had been placed on the side - apparently on top of the salad. So I "got exactly what I wanted". My bad. Here's the thing Westville - When money is tight for many people, when there are many other great and affordable East Village choices, and when your burgers easily run over ten bucks, I shouldn't have to wonder whether or not you will get the order right the first time (remember my take out orders have been wrong multiple times), and I shouldn't be made to feel like some lower being because I want what I ask for. I was happy to pay extra for the salad. The dill dressing is worth it!
