Top 5 for breakfast in NYC
I really think that this place is the perfect NY diner. The wait-staff are super efficient and the food is delicious. I love to go there on the weekends, eat a HUGE plate of French toast with sausage links, and watch the Upper-West-Siders walk by. My breakfast usually hits the table 10 minutes after I ordered it, and it's always so good. The waiters and waitresses are a little gruff, but it doesn't bother me as long as they come back to refill my coffee (which they always do!) Even though I've moved to the other end of the city, I still come back for this place.

What's Happened
I have been to many diners on the upper westside and the portions here have got to be one of the worst. They are so small .The homefries are a spoonfool, the french fries are 8 pieces, the salad is the size of a an orange, the soup in a cup not a bowl for 4.50.Somebody tell the management. They were also very empty when I went in. Must tell you something.The only decent part of the meal was my waitress.

Unfriendly service
Perhaps we were there on an off night, but we really had surly rude service. My husband and I are about as polite as can be and don't expect much, but more than grunts when we ask for non spoiled milk for our coffee would be nice! (Yes the milk in the creamer was spoiled, so be cafeful and check it first!) Our dinners were fine, but we really could've done without the unpleasant dismissive attitude.

My Appendix Hurts
That diner was amazing!! I laughed so hard my gosh darn appendix hurts. I came from Memphis and all i wanted was a Fish Filet and the westside restaurant made my vacation amazing! Good service and good food

small portion/ Too Expensive!
The last time I eat here, the side order of bacon was 2 slices for 3.00 dollars. I also ordered a cheeseburger deluxe and received 5 peices of french fries, Outrageous! When I asked the waiter for more fries, I was told this is the new portion and he couldn't do anything about it. Time to go to City Diner, Manhattan, or Metro the portions, food and the atmosphere are all better. Don't eat here.

great diner
I moved to the neighborhood a few months ago and love the Westside diner. The food is always very fresh and tastes great, and the service is efficient and fast. Most importantly, you get great bang for your buck here!

Are you Kidding?
This place is only good from 3 a.m. to 4 a.m. - wasted. . . Chuck D ordered from here 2-3 times and each time it was not good.. .the guy on the phone can't speak English so take out it too hard.. .soggy fries, no straw for the milkshake. . .I wish they'd put a Starbucks here already. . .
