Fast and decent.

Hot, Fast and Fresh
Joe and his family are some of the nicest people in the neighborhood, and they know how to serve it up. I eat a lot of chicken on a low carb diet, and I need a place to get my daily "fix". Orange chicken is Great, so are the wings and all of the fried chicken selections. This place does GREAT business and they are going to expand. Check them out!

Authentic Chinese!
This place is FULL of students from Columbia everyday. For the lunch special there is a line out of the door. You can sit and eat, but the atmosphere is not great. For fast take out - this is where you want to go. The service is great and they will customize any dish. You can't beat the prices either.

good but not great
Definitely worth it if you're on a budget, but the food is only alright. The staff is polite, and the food is prepared quick so that's a bonus.

eating on a budget?
the food is just ok. but compared to other chinese restaurants in this area, it's pretty good. the lunch specials have very generous portions. i can eat a lot and i had a hard time eating all of it. their lunch special is $5 which comes with rice and soup. if you aren't too picky with food and just want some decent food to fill your stomach on a budget around columbia, this is the place to go. i wouldn't go out of my way to go to this place though.

Cheap
Very cheap: lunch specials are $5, or "pick three" buffet is $5.50. Both are lots of food. Unfortunately, quality is not so hot, even for your standard cheap Chinese place. I've been twice and disappointed both times.

Yum Yum in the Tum Tum
Ive been a customer of West Place since it opened. They are really friendly and I like their food. The shrimp is always fresh which is hard to come buy in a fast food chinese place. The one thing I dont like is their chicken wings. Most of the time its either undercooked or overcooked. When they get it just right is surprises me. But everything else on their menu is fine and dandy. I hope you enjoy it!
